My child, don’t lose sight of common sense and discernment. Hang on to them, for they will refresh your soul. They are like jewels on a necklace.

Proverbs 3:21-22

Wisdom and discernment are gifts from heaven that we must choose to utilize and grow.

Wisdom is the foundation of our faith. When we submerse ourselves in Scripture, we learn God’s Word which is our love-guide through this life. We must anchor ourselves in the Word of God, knowing His heart and the Way a little more each day.

Discernment is when we take the wisdom gifted to us and pair it with the Spirit of God inside us to know what is of God and what is not. It allows us to recognize when we misstep or even redirect us before we do. We must practice discernment in order to grow it and become more equipped to discern the unexpected more quickly and appropriately. Discernment requires the confidence and courage of heaven. Each word, each action, and each response can become one of wisdom and great discernment when we practice.

May we go today knowing that God has gifted us with all we need to live this one life well. May we walk in wisdom and discernment each new day that passes. ⚓️ 💧 🤍

Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.

Matthew 9:35

Thanks be to God for Jesus - for all He is, all He has done, all He is doing, and all He will do. He didn’t stay seated on the throne in Heaven lavished in comfort, perfection, and His glory. No… He left the throne, chose discomfort, walked in an imperfect world, and brought His glory to this undeserving world. What a Savior He is! May we go today with a truly grateful heart for the Savior of the world - the One that saved and continues to save day after day. May we choose to accept His invitation to the beautiful work He is doing in the world today. ⚓️ 💧 🤍

Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.

1 Peter 5:7

This world and our lives are full of things and circumstances that cause and feed anxiety. It seems everywhere we turn, “it’s something else.” At the same time, everywhere we turn, we can find our Heavenly Father with arms wide open ready to receive all we were never meant to carry. I am so grateful for God’s timing, His provision, His mercy, and His great love. He always shows up, and He is always willing to take every bit of the anxiety from us if we allow Him to.

Friends, let’s give our anxious thoughts, worries, and fears to the One who can do immeasurably more than all we could ever imagine.

When we see the end, He sees a new beginning.

When we see failure, He sees potential.

When we see no good, He sees very good.

When we see unlovable, He sees lovable.

When we see no way, He sees the perfect way.

May we go today releasing all our burdens to Him. He loves us and wants us to live free. May we be strong enough to surrender. ❤️

The lowly he sets on high, and those who mourn are lifted to safety.

Job 5:11

In this life, there will be times when we find ourselves in places that don’t feel good due to the brokenness of humanity. Even still, in all the brokenness, our Creator lifts us from those dark places we find ourselves in. He lifts us, fills us, and covers us. May we go today knowing that the love of Christ covers us always. He will be with us and rescue us every time. We need only be still and trust Him. ⚓️ 💧 🤍

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.

Colossians 3:12

This verse is so powerful. We have a choice in how we interact with others. No one MAKES us interact any certain way. This verse reminds us that we have been chosen by God. Therefore, we should interact in a way that reflects God’s attributes, not interact with others in and through feelings. This can be difficult at times. But when we remind ourselves that we are chosen by God and put on our “spiritual clothes” each day, we can truly interact in the love and compassion of Christ in all ways no matter the circumstance. May we go today practicing putting on our “spiritual clothes” and interacting in a way that honors our God of Compassion. ❤️

Hear my cry, O God; listen to my prayer. From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

Psalm 61:1-2

While some of us have experienced earthly fathers who have come through for us, many of us have felt the frailty of an earthly father’s love. What a gift it is to know we have a Heavenly Father who is so compassionate that He hears our voice, our cry, from the ends of the earth. He knows us deeply and completely. No matter what we’ve done, no matter how many times we’ve called out already, and no matter what circumstances we find ourselves in, He is ready to come to our rescue. May we go today with a heart filled with hope that we can always call upon God during our time of need. ⚓️ 💧 🤍

If you find yourself in a season of waiting, know that it won’t last forever. Choose to see the waiting as an opportunity to practice gratitude, grounding, and grace. Allow God to grow your faith and trust in Him right where you are. He desires nothing more than to refresh and restore your heart, mind, soul, and hope. As Habakkuk 2:3 says, “… it will surely take place.” The Lord is faithful to fulfill all His promises in His timing. ⚓️ 💧 🤍

Grace. We are so undeserving of God’s grace, yet He freely extends it to us. Even when He reveals hard truth to us, He does so in love and meets us where we are with a grace that encourages us and propels us forward. His grace is sufficient and always more than enough if we are honest. He offers us so much grace that we have plenty to extend to others - even in the hardest of times. May we go today extending grace to those we believe are deserving and those we may want to withhold from because there is always more than enough. ❤️

God pays attention. He sees what others may miss. The big things and even the tiniest things alike, He sees them. He also sees the intent of our hearts behind what we do, when we do it, and who we do it for. While it may seem He doesn’t see because how life can sometimes be, know that the things we do aren’t to get something in return. We live in a transactional world. I do this, so you do that. We live in a world of expectations. I do this, so you “should” do that for me. This sometimes carries over into our walk with God. We believe because of the good we do that we should be rewarded. But friends, we have already received the greatest reward of all for having done nothing at all. We have received the gift of salvation! Eternal life with Him! Go today knowing that He sees you. He saw you long before anyone else did. Rest assured knowing that your Heavenly Father takes delight in the love of your heart. ⚓️ 💧 🤍

The Lord loves a joyful giver. Not just a giver of physical things, but a giver that is joyful in gratitude as well. Even in the deepest and darkest of valleys, there is always something to be thankful for. May we go today joyfully offering up gratitude to the One who provides all we need. ⚓️ 💧 🤍
