What if we went out to the battlefield in a war. And we were a soldier. But somehow we were in perfect health and unwounded. We look around and see wounded soldiers everywhere. We see those on our side and those on the enemies’ side. The people reach out their hand to you wanting help. Somehow you have the strength and you know exactly where to take each one and what they need to survive. But instead you scoff at them and their cry for help. You judge them. You say well you shouldn't have got hurt- you shouldn't have got shot. This is your fault- you didn't think to take cover. It is your own fault. And to the enemy you look at them and just shake your head. Not even speaking to them. So the soldiers on your side they die alone, without support. And those on the enemies’ side, they die without even having a chance. Anyone who thinks about this would say how can someone do that and say that. They would have to be a terrible person.
However, think about this. Christians have an advantage with God. The world is a battleground- spiritual- but still very real. Other Christians struggle- spiritually, physically, emotionally. Non-Christians struggle too- not being able to experience spiritual things, and also physically, emotionally. Everyone suffers sometimes. Christians need to help other Christians. Pick up your brother and sister, carry them to the Healer— because you know where He is and you know what they need. Don't judge them because its their fault “they don't have enough faith”. Look at the Non-Christians- have compassion on them, don't judge them because they are down, they've never had a chance to get up. Pick them up too, carry them to the Healer- you know where He is you know what they need. And when you help your brother/sister they can help you save those who are “enemies”- the lost.
We have to stop judging those around us for struggling- no matter who they are. If we are in good health, help others. Jesus taught to help and serve others. Not to judge them of their faults- its not our job or purpose. Stop taking advantage of God’s grace and strength by not sharing it with others. Jesus came to seek and save the lost- the ones society casted out as unimportant, the sick, the lame, the blind, the sinful. Don't forget your calling- be saints and go make disciples.
