Sunday's worship was truly uplifting! Mark's inspiring children's message reminded us to cherish the incredible gift of our minds, a blessing from God. Bethany's soul-stirring music touched our hearts and lifted our spirits. Mark's powerful sermon, fulfilling Cathy LaPierre's silent auction purchase, encouraged us to trust in God's plan, especially in life's challenging moments. And what a joy to admire the beautiful flowers and unite our voices in singing "Go Now in Peace".

On Sunday we had a delightful service featuring the baptism of Cecilia Sargent and special music by Allie - Cecelia's mom. Andrea read a poem titled "A Summer Gift from God" by Mel. The message of the day was the story of how the Israelites grew in Egypt, the perceived threat of that growth, and the actions of multiple women to subvert Pharoah's attempts to deal with the threat. Doing what is right, despite laws or edicts, can be necessary to live as God wants us to.

The grand finale of 3 Summer Evenings was Pure Magic! We savored delicious food, including roasted corn on the cob, celebrated togetherness, and grooved to an incredible playlist from SuperSounds. It was truly a night to remember, filling our hearts with joy! Kudos to the Christian Formation committee for crafting this amazing series of uplifting events! You are a small but mighty team, shining bright with love and dedication!!!

Last weekend was busy at First Church! First we had the Annual Lawn Sale on Saturday, and wow the place was buzzing like crazy! People came in droves to find treasures, enjoy baked treats, and support the food pantry. It was a delight to see our community coming together! On Sunday we enjoyed a worship service featuring a musical trio, scripture read by multiple people, and a story about radical inclusion. What a joy!
