Volunteers needed for this month's October Community Dinner. Anyone looking for a volunteer opportunity is welcome. We're looking for help in two shifts:
1) Setting up the dining room and serving meals between 4-7:15PM
2) Washing dishes between 5:15-7:15 PM

If you want to help but can't do an entire shift, please sign up and indicate in the comments what time frame you can be there.

Join us Friday, March 8th at the Holy Family parish hall for another community dinner. This month's menu:
Main Entree: Vegtable Lasagna
Sides: Caesar Salad & Bread
Dessert

Service begins at 5:30 and runs for an hour or until we run out of food. To go meals will be provided for anyone that would like them.

All dinners are free however donations are accepted.

Due to an illness with one of our core team members, we regretfully have to cancel this month's dinner. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes.

Our next dinner will be Friday, March 8th.

Since the inception of Essex Eats Out (now Essex Community Dinner) the team at Holy Family has had the benefit of a trained chef planning, organizing, and cooking most of our meals. Earlier this year our chef has had to step away for family commitments. Essex Community Dinner is currently looking for a new chef that’s able to help with some or all of our monthly meals.

An interested individual should be able to:
Attend planning meetings for the meal(s) you’re able to assist with.
Build shopping lists (we people to do the shopping so that isn’t a requirement).
Be at the Parish hall around 3 PM to begin cooking.
Time different meal elements to be ready around the same time for service to begin at 5:30 PM.
Culinary students or amateur chefs are welcome so long as they can meet the above requirements.

NOTE: This is a volunteer, not a paid position.

Anyone that is interested can reach out to the Essex Community Dinner page, John McMahon at [email protected] or 802-878-5331 ext 202, or come to the Holy Family Parish Hall on the second Friday of the month for our monthly meal between 4-5:15 or after 6 (note, between 5:15-6 we’ll be preparing for and serving so there won’t be time to talk to a prospect).

Main Entree: Boneless Chicken & Smoked Spare Ribs ( Half Boneless Breast and 1 or 2 Ribs)
Sides: Potato Salad , Green Beans, Roll
Dessert: Ice Cream Sundae

Service begins at 5:30 and runs for an hour or until we run out of food. To go meals will be provided for anyone that would like them.

All dinners are free however donations are accepted.

After dinner there will be a DJ for a Valentines Day dance. From 7 to ~8:30.
