Sikh Dharma International continues to preserve, organize and share these teachings.

Since 1973, Sikh Dharma International has been a 501c(3) nonprofit religious organization whose purpose is to serve & uplift humanity thru the universal teachings of the Sikh Gurus and the path of Sikh Dharma, as shared by Siri Singh Sahib, Yogi Bhajan. The teachings and technology of Sikh Dharma International are found in the Siri Guru Granth Sahib, the writings of the Sikh Gurus and as taught by

the Siri Singh Sahib, Yogi Bhajan, in his unique style. His way of talking and teaching about the path of the Sikh, for the first time in history, made the Sikh faith accessible to people from every background, language and culture of the world.

The Summer Solstice Sadhana Celebration at Ram Das Puri is officially underway! Tomorrow marks the 40th annual Peace Prayer Day.

As we prepare to come together once more in prayer, let’s reflect on the origins of this beautiful tradition.

In 1986, more than 500 people came together at Ram Das Puri for the first ever Peace Prayer Day. Representatives from different cultures, faiths, and traditions shared prayers, blessings, music, and wisdom in a powerful celebration of unity.

Forty years later, the prayer continues.

Today, we commemorate the Shaheedi Purab of Guru Arjan Dev Ji, the fifth Sikh Guru and the first martyr of the Panth.

In 1606, he was arrested and tortured by the Mughal empire but refused to compromise his faith. His martyrdom transformed the Panth, leading to the enduring presence of Harmandir Sahib, the Siri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, and the sangat still gathers, every year on this day, to remember what he held for all of us.
