ABOUT US
Founded in 1939 in Escondido, California, our name encapsulates who we are:

Emmanuel
The core of our belief is that God is with us. He is a loving, personal God who cares deeply for every human being. Faith
We believe that Jesus Christ is God who came to earth in hu

man form to reveal God’s love for us and willingly pay the price for our sin by dying on a cross. He rose three days later to conquer death so that anyone who believes in Him can fully live in a personal relationship with the Creator of the universe. We strive to share Christ’s love with those around us in both spiritual and practical ways. Church
We are the body of Christ. We provide support and encouragement through life groups, a wide variety of ministries and by providing opportunities for people to serve others. We love to gather together to worship the Lord through prayer, music and the teaching of the Holy Scriptures. As an elder-led church, we base our teachings on God’s Scripture and its central figure, Jesus Christ. We believe the Scriptures are God’s instructions to us and should be obeyed and embraced. Because it is the believer’s privilege and personal mission to carry the gospel of Christ to others, EFCC is also a missionally-focused church. People are encouraged to share the love of Christ with those in our community and around the world. EFCC continues to send out many full-time outreach workers around the globe and is committed to providing short-term, cross-cultural outreach experiences for those within our church body.

Count the Stars: Living by Faith Between Promise and Fulfillment
God gives promises, but we live most of our lives in the gap between promise and fulfillment. In our Count the Stars sermon series, we’ve been walking through the life of Abraham to discover how God forms a resilient, trusting faith, not just through waiting and uncertainty, but also through doubt, missteps, and failure. We hope this series has helped you grow a deeper faith and learn to better trust God right where you are. This Sunday, Lead Pastor Ryan Paulson will complete this sermon series with his message, “Faith in Death” from Genesis 23:1-20; 25:7-11.

☀️ Give a week... get way more in return.
VBS isn’t just something you do for kids... it’s something God does in you too. ❤️

Spend a week laughing, dancing, building relationships, and helping kids discover the light of Jesus. You’ll create memories, make an impact, and walk away encouraged, filled up, and reminded what childlike faith looks like. The truth is... you might get more out of VBS than the kids do. ✨

Join the fun. Serve with us at VBS: Illumination | July 27-31 | 9am-noon.

There’s a place for everyone... come shine with us!

☀️ Summer is officially underway at church!

This Sunday was full of excitement as we kicked off a new season together. VBS registration is now open, and we can't wait for all the fun, friendships, and faith-filled moments that are ahead.

We were also excited to welcome our summer interns, who have officially begun serving and investing in our church family this summer.

There is so much to look forward to in the weeks ahead, and we can't wait to see how God moves through every ministry, event, and conversation.

Here's to a summer of growth, connection, and making memories together! 💛
