The ministry, an ECFA-accredited 501(c)(3) charitable organization, provides leaders in communities of oral learners with “talking” Bibles, God’s spoken Word, in their native languages. The ministry trains leaders to use “talking” Bibles to share the good news of Christ. These Bibles allow leaders to nurture their congregations and reach out to unbelievers. This approach equips indigenous non-r

eaders to become church leaders, pastors, and missionaries to their own communities. Our mission stems from a strong conviction that everyone in the world needs access to the Bible. The purpose of Talking Bibles is to give non-readers and the blind access to the Bible in their native language. Our mission is to serve the Lord Jesus Christ by producing audio recordings of translated Scriptures in hundreds of languages and making these recordings accessible in the form of Talking Bibles for millions of people around the world who cannot read. Achan is a 40-year-old widow with six children.

"I can tell you that I am very glad for this Talking Bible. It has made a big difference in our home. My children are close to me because we listen to God's Word together. They are not running around in the evening, but we listen together and discuss what God tells us.

Our neighbors also come and listen twice a week. Now there are six of us. Even those who are not believers will ask to come and listen. So far, we have seen Didumo and Abang become Christians and attend church.

We give thanks for coming to see us and visiting with us. In all, we are very thankful!"

It only took two months for Manju’s life to begin changing through the power of hearing God’s Word.

Like many people in rural India, Manju struggled to read and had difficulty understanding the Bible on her own. But after receiving a Talking Bible in her own language, she now spends hours each day listening to Scripture and growing in her faith.

“Listening to the Bible has helped me understand it in ways I couldn’t before,” Manju shares.

Ashura could read…
But she couldn’t understand.
Even after finishing 9th grade, the words of the Bible were difficult for her to grasp.
Then one day, she sat with a small group listening to a Talking Bible.
When they reached John 3:16, everything changed.
“My heart was beating to know God,” she says.

I can learn the Word of God from the Talking Bible,” says Bharathamma. “Personally, I’m encouraged every time I listen.”

Bharathamma’s story is one of transformation and hope. Living in a small farming village in India, she never had the opportunity to go to school. Like many women in her community, she spent her life raising children and working in the fields.

When she became a follower of Jesus, she longed to read the Bible. But unable to read, she relied on her pastor’s Sunday sermons, memorizing Scripture as best she could. Her pastor often repeated Bible stories so she could retain every word.

Everything changed when Bharathamma’s pastor gave her a Talking Bible. For the first time, she could hear the Bible in her own home, not just on Sundays. She began listening to God’s Word for an hour every day with her son and daughter-in-law. The results have been life-changing.

Her daughter-in-law, who had previously professed faith but stopped attending church, and her son, who had become distant from the faith, started listening with her. Over the course of a year, God’s Word began working in their hearts. Now, the entire family attends church together every week.

“Now I can understand easily,” Bharathamma says. “It’s really good to have the Talking Bible in my family. I keep it safe so that I can use it for a long time.
