Dear Church,

In the shadow of the tragedy at the Islamic Center of San Diego, we hold our county in our hearts. We grieve the lives lost, the peace shattered, and the pain rippling through out our wider community. In this moment, we choose to meet darkness not just with endurance, but with an active, courageous commitment to one another.

LAST CHANCE: 2026-2027 Scholarship

Since the 1970’s, the Escondido First United Methodist Church Foundation Scholarship has provided financial support for serious and deserving students. The result has been that many of our members were able to pursue their educational dreams, including a large group obtaining clergy positions in many churches. The Foundation is thankful to God for His provision.

If you are a member or active participant in our church and are looking to attend college or a skills training program for the 2026-2027 scholarship award year, you might qualify for a Foundation Scholarship. All adults ages 18 and up may apply. If you feel that God is laying it on your heart to take this opportunity, then please apply. The online application and link is be available on our website http://risehere.org/Foundation. The deadline to submit applications will be March 22nd at 11:59 PM. Please give this serious thought and plan to apply.

Award amounts for 2026-2027 academic year based on full-time status are up to:
Seminary - $15,000
Four-year College or university - $5,000
Trade School/Skill program- $5,000
Two –year college - $3,000
Credential training program - $3,000
Music Program - $3,000
Graduate school - $5,000
