This might not look like much, but an exciting moment happened on Monday evening--the elders of our church held their first meeting in the new council room!

Though the new offices are not completely finished, this was a sweet first step 🥳

Also, we're guessing that they were especially thankful to have peace and quiet (as opposed to the normal thundering of GEMS and Cadets meeting on the 2nd floor 😁)

Come and cheer on (or join!) our church's softball league on Mondays this summer! There's tons of shade and it's a great atmosphere- all churches in this league. They got a big W tonight (17-1)!

Check out the progress on the parsonage/new office space! All the asbestos is gone, and the fireplace has been removed. We even found hardwood floors in the bedrooms (new offices) which will be refinished!

The Evangelism Committee is seeking out volunteers to serve the children and their parents at the Christmas Banquet at Modesto Gospel Mission on December 20, starting at 5:30pm. California Street had some lovely (and loud!) Christmas caroling tonight!! Our GEMS hit the road, made and delivered cards to neighbors, and caroled the whole way!

Special thank you to Joann VV who spoiled the girls with treats and pizza!!

As Thanksgiving and Christmas are soon approaching, the Modesto Gospel Center is in need of 5-10 volunteers who would like to help serve food and joy at their holiday banquets. The Thanksgiving banquet is on Wednesday, November 27 at 5:30pm and the Christmas banquet is on Friday, December 20 at 5:30pm. Please comment below if you and/or any family members (including kids) would like to serve with other members of our church and someone will reach out to you. Thank you everyone!
