Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor all those whose lives were forever changed.

May we continue to pray for peace, healing, and hope. 🕊️

We remember. We pray. We do not forget.

🎨🕯️ An Evening of Art, Music & Reflection at the Cathedral 🕯️🎶

Join us on Sunday, September 20 for two beautiful opportunities to slow down, connect, and experience the sacred through art, music, and prayer.

🎨 Sacred Pathways: Sacred Harmony
Stop by the Cathedral for the Sacred Pathways Fall Art Exhibit, featuring artist Sandy Shelenberger. The exhibit runs through Sunday, November 1, and the Cathedral is open to the public Monday–Thursday, 10:00 A.M.–2:00 P.M.
Join us at 7:00 P.M. for a special reception to meet Sandy, featuring live music and light refreshments.

🕯️ Candlelight Compline
Then, at 8:00 P.M., join us for Candlelight Compline—a 25-minute candlelit service of chanted prayers, choral music, and reflective silence. Inspired by ancient traditions, Compline invites us to slow down, listen deeply, and connect with the Holy at day’s end.

✨ Come for the art. Stay for the music. Make space for reflection. ✨

💙🕊️ Good things are happening around our diocese! ⛪✨

From worship and fellowship to serving our neighbors, our congregations have been busy building community and sharing God’s love!

🌿 CORE Annual Picnic
On August 16, members of St. James, Titusville; Christ Church, Oil City; and St. John’s/Grace Lutheran, Franklin gathered at Two Mile Run Park for the annual CORE Picnic. The day included worship, plenty of good food and fellowship, and even a surprise visit from Bishop Mark Stevenson of the Diocese of Virginia!

🍕 Little Caesars Love Kitchen Visits Ascension
On August 29, Church of the Ascension in Bradford partnered with the Little Caesars Love Kitchen to serve free pizza to more than 130 neighbors experiencing food insecurity. Ascension volunteers and Little Caesars staff shared an afternoon filled with food, conversation, fellowship—and even a few temporary tattoos!

We give thanks for all the ways our congregations continue to gather, serve, and care for their communities. 💙🙏

There are good things happening all across the Diocese of Northwestern Pennsylvania! 🕊️⛪

✨ Friday Faith Challenge ✨

Is there something you’ve been praying about but have been afraid—or unsure—of how to move forward? 🙏💙

Today’s challenge is to take one small step toward something you’ve been praying for. 🌱 Maybe it’s sending the message, filling out the application, having the conversation, asking for help, or simply making a plan.

Prayer invites us to trust God—and sometimes that trust looks like taking the next step, even when we can’t see the whole path ahead. 🕊️

“Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” — Proverbs 16:3 ✝️

What small step can you take today? 💙✨
