Update: Praise God! Anton is home and feeling much better.
Urgent:
Please PRAY for Anton Kotok, his family and his medical team.
He was in a ski accident last night and lacerated his liver and adrenals. He has been transferred to UPMC Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh. He is conscious and can have limited visitors.
7cm laceration on his liver, partially collapsed lung, damaged adrenals.

Attention!
The church picnic this Sabbath is being moved to Glenwood Park down by the zoo.
IF Glenwood is full Ed and Darlene Taylor have graciously offered their pavilion. We will announce any change during the service on Sabbath.

This weekend is Discover Presque Isle Days and there will be 100,000 people and vendors there. Too much to find a space for us.

Sorry for the last minute change.

CHURCH REOPENING GUIDELINES
ERIE SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH WILL REOPEN SATURDAY MAY 16 2020
Erie County has been placed in the yellow phase of Governor Wolf's reopening strategy. This phase allows us the opportunity to reopen the Church.

We know now that COVID-19 can be spread to others by infected persons who have few or no symptoms. Even if an infected person is only mildly ill, the people they spread it to may become seriously ill or even die, especially if that person is 65 or older with pre-existing health conditions that place them at higher risk. Because of the hidden nature of this threat, everyone who attends our Church should follow the practices specified in these protocols, all of which facilitate a safe and measured reopening. As COVID-19 is still circulating in our community, we will continue to observe practices that protect everyone, including those who are most vulnerable.



Health protocols for Attendee

We strongly encourage the at-risk population to watch or participate in the service remotely. The Erie Church will continue to live stream church service until the end of July.
We recommend all attendees where a mask or covering in accordance with Governor’s guidance.
Keep at least six feet separation between parties in any row.
Alternate rows between attendees (every other row left empty).


Health protocols for Church Facility

Regularly and frequently clean and disinfect any regularly touched surfaces, such as doorknobs, tables, chairs, and restrooms.
Disinfect pews between services
Hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes, soap and water, and masks will be readily available.
Visible signage will be placed throughout the building to remind everyone of best hygiene practices.


Please understand, that these recommendations cannot anticipate every unique situation. The Erie Seventh-day Adventist Church leadership will stay up to date and informed of the current COVID-19 situation and take actions based on common sense and wise judgment that will protect the health and safety of all.
