Happy Feast of Corpus Christi! Today is the day that we celebrate the gift of the Eucharist. The Eucharist is often called the source and summit of the Catholic faith because wrapped up in something so ordinary is the extraordinary presence of God and the greatest love story ever told. The Eucharist is a constant reminder of God’s love. God loves us so much He never wants to be apart from us, which is why He decided to make Himself always available to us. The God of the entire universe chose to make Himself available to us in such a humble manner by manifesting in a small ordinary piece of bread simply because He loves us. It’s definitely some amazing food for thought and reminds us of what a great gift God has given us in the form of the Eucharist especially during a time when we have had to be apart from it. Yet, through all of this His presence has remained with us all the same as the Eucharist reminds us that He will never be parted from us. ❤️

Today is Good Shepard Sunday. It is a wonderful day to remember just how much God loves us because it’s very easy to forget especially amid the craziness of today’s world. God is constantly calling us and drawing us to Himself. He knows each of us inside and out. He loves us each so much that he knew his creation would not be complete without you. Rest in this truth and be at peace that the God of the universe loves you beyond words. Today more than ever God desires for us to lean into his love. Let the Good Shepard guide you during this time and always 🐑

“Do not abandon yourselves to despair. We are an Easter people and hallelujah is our song.” ~ St. Pope John Paul II

In this time of uncertainty, we can look to Jesus with certainty that life’s difficulties will not win out in the end. In Jesus’ resurrection, there is hope and fullness of life. This Easter may look very different than past years but the message and truth of Easter remains ever the same. Jesus has conquered death and sin. The tomb is empty. This is the heart of our faith and a constant cause for celebration even amid quarantine. I am wishing you all a safe, blessed, healthy, and Happy Easter!
