🎓Graduation Sunday is almost here! 🎓

Second Baptist Church is excited to celebrate and honor the achievements of our youth during Graduation Sunday on June 28, 2026!

Whether your student is being promoted from Pre-K, 5th Grade, or 8th Grade, or graduating from 12th Grade or College, we want to recognize this important milestone and celebrate all that God has done in their lives.

This special service will highlight the hard work, perseverance, growth, and accomplishments of the Class of 2026 while encouraging them as they step into their next chapter. We believe every milestone deserves to be celebrated, and we are proud of each student who has reached this moment!

Parents and guardians, please be sure to submit your graduate’s information by Sunday, June 21, 2026 so that recognition materials and our slideshow can be prepared.

We are also excited to launch our Inaugural Youth Sundays, where every 4th Sunday will feature opportunities for our youth to serve through Scripture reading, choir, dance ministry, and more!

Join us as we celebrate our graduates, encourage our youth, and thank God for His faithfulness every step of the journey.

Congratulations, Class of 2026! Your Second Baptist Church family is proud of you, praying for you, and cheering you on as you move from dreams to destiny!

Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation. Memorial Day is more than a long weekend or holiday gathering. It is a sacred reminder that freedom has always carried a cost, and many families continue to bear that sacrifice every day.

As a church family, we pray for the loved ones of our fallen heroes, for those who still carry grief, and for a nation that must never take their sacrifice for granted. May we live with gratitude, serve with compassion, and continue striving to be a people worthy of the freedoms we’ve been given.

A few days ago, we had the privilege of welcoming veterans from across our community for fellowship, connection, and access to important resources during our Veterans Outreach event. It was an honor to create a space where those who have served could gather, be supported, and know they are valued.

A heartfelt thank you to all of our vendors who shared vital information and services with the men and women who have faithfully served our country and nation. Your presence and partnership made a real difference.

Thank you as well to our incredible volunteers, ministry leaders, and our Pastor for your vision, leadership, and unwavering support in helping make this event possible.

Most importantly, to the brave men and women of our Armed Forces, THANK YOU!!! Thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your commitment to something greater than yourselves. We are grateful for all you have done, and we want you to know that we are here for you and with you. Your service will never be forgotten. 🇺🇸

What a Sunday of celebration!

There is nothing like witnessing lives publicly transformed and faith boldly declared! Baptism Sunday was a beautiful reminder that God is still changing lives, restoring hearts, and making all things new.

We are overjoyed that within the last two months, nearly 20 individuals have taken this powerful next step in their faith journey and are now officially part of our church family! What an incredible testimony of new life, new beginnings, and the goodness of God.

To our baptism candidates, we celebrate you, we’re praying for you, and we’re excited to walk alongside you as you continue to grow in Christ.

And the celebration isn’t over! If you’ve been thinking about taking that next step, Baptism Sunday is coming up again next month. We’d love for you to be a part of it!

Second Baptist Church is excited and honored to host one of many opportunities to pour back into those who have so selflessly served both our community and our nation!

Today, we are proud to give back to our Veterans during our inaugural Veterans Outreach Event! This is a small way to say thank you and create space for connection, support, and access to resources for those who have sacrificed so much.

We encourage all Erie Veterans to join us today from 12:00–1:30 PM for Veteran-specific resources, support, and networking opportunities.

To all who have served, THANK YOU! We are deeply grateful for your sacrifice, commitment, and service. We look forward to seeing you today!
