What a beautiful and powerful Pink Out Sunday at Second!

Yesterday, we came together in praise and worship, celebrated and honored our courageous breast cancer survivors, and received a powerful Word from Pastor Patricia “Pastor Pat” Keyes, Senior Pastor and Founder of Praise Tabernacle Erie, Inc.

We thank God for a spirit-filled worship experience and a beautiful reminder of His faithfulness, strength, and healing power! To God be the glory!

This Sunday, we’re turning Second Baptist PINK!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and we’re coming together in faith, love, and solidarity to honor survivors, support those currently facing breast cancer, recognize caregivers, and remember those whose lives have been taken by this disease.

Breast cancer has touched so many of our families, friends, and communities. This Sunday is an opportunity to remind one another that no one should have to face the journey alone.

As we pray for the Woodard family and everyone impacted by the tragedy on Perry Street, I believe God is calling us to be present, support those who are hurting, and advocate for justice. It’s time to pause, pray, plan, and proceed together.

WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?

Our city is hurting. Families are grieving. Emotions are heavy, and many in our community are searching for answers, healing, and a way forward.

In moments like these, we believe the Church has a responsibility to be more than a place of worship. We must be a source of hope, a voice for healing, and a place where our community can come together, find strength, and begin moving forward.

TOMORROW, Sunday, October 18th, Rev. Darrell Cook and the Second Baptist Church family invite the entire Erie community to join us at 9:30 AM for a special gathering of prayer and worship.

Together, we’ll lift up the Woodard family, those impacted by the recent mass shooting, and everyone carrying the weight of these tragedies.

Whether you’ve attended church your entire life, haven’t been in years, or have never stepped inside one, there is a place for you here.

You don’t have to have the right words. You don’t have to have all the answers. Just come as you are.

As we ask, “Where Do We Go From Here?” we recognize that healing will take more than a moment of prayer. It will require compassion, unity, courageous leadership, and a shared commitment to the well-being of our community.

We may not have all the answers, but we believe we have a responsibility to help lead the way forward, together.
