Our Communications & Media Team is taking some much needed time to rest and recharge.

Outside of our normal Sunday operations on September 6th and September 13th, our team will not be processing new communications, media, graphic, or promotional requests during this time.

Full ministry operations will resume Monday, September 14th. Any requests already submitted will be addressed once we return.

We’re grateful for the work our team does to support the ministries of Second Baptist Church, and we appreciate everyone respecting this intentional time of rest.

We’ll see you on Sunday, and we’ll be back, rested and ready, on September 14th!

There’s something happening for everyone at Second Baptist this week! Here’s what’s coming up on our campus:

Wednesday, August 26th-12 Noon
Our Seniors Ministry will gather for a Computer & Technology Literacy Session—helping our seniors build confidence and stay connected in today’s digital world.

Wednesday Evening
There will be NO Prayer & Bible Study as we continue our August sabbatical. We look forward to gathering again in September!

Thursday, August 27th-6:00 PM
Choir & Praise Team Rehearsals continue as we prepare for our 80th Church Anniversary Choir Concert! Scan the QR code on the event graphic for the complete rehearsal schedule.

Sunday, August 30th-11:00 AM
It’s our LAST Casual Sunday of the summer! Come worship in your summer attire and bring someone with you as we close out Casual Sundays together!

Today is about community, connection, and making sure our students are ready for a great school year!

Join us for our Dreams to Destiny Back to School Bash at Second Baptist Church! We’re excited to bring students and families together for a day of fun, resources, and encouragement as we send our young people back to school supported and ready to succeed.

We believe our children deserve more than supplies, they deserve to know there’s a community standing behind them, believing in them, and investing in their future.

It’s almost time to head back to school!

Join us Saturday, August 22nd from 11 AM–3 PM for our Dreams to Destiny Back to School Event at Second Baptist Church.

We’ll have free polo shirts for students, food, games, and fellowship as we help our young people get ready for a new school year.

Come out, bring the kids, and spend the afternoon with us. We’re looking forward to seeing you!

Our Black Boys Speaker Series closes out TONIGHT at 6:00 PM with special guest Corey Cook!

This series is designed for boys ages 8–17, and it has been nothing short of amazing! Each session has created space for real conversations, mentorship, and meaningful connection that has impacted both our young men and the speakers who’ve shared their journeys.

We’ve heard stories, gained wisdom, and built bonds that go far beyond a single night.

While tonight is the final session of the series, this is truly just the beginning. We remain committed to strengthening our young men, building lasting relationships, and creating a legacy of growth and support.
