We are moving through the gospel of Mark. This week's message is 14:10-22....and boy does it speak to you. It comes after the woman who broke the alabaster jar of oil...valued at about a year or so wages, over the head of Christ. Judas, who has been with Jesus sells Him out for 30 pieces of silver.....man this message is about to confront you or encourage you...maybe both...hope to see you Sunday as we continue to get "Marked Up".

Remember due to the work going on at the church, that parking entrance is available on 7th Street only. You can come in the normal doors, driveway is unaccessible from 6th Street. Look forward to seeing you all soon. Bring a mother with you for a beautiful message!!

Dear God,

You are my Heavenly Father, You created me, You saved me and You made me Your child.

But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

You are the only true God...

No one is holy like the Lord ,
For there is none besides You,
Nor is there any rock like our God.

You are my Good Shepherd and You tend to the needs of my heart...

Yea, though I walk through the
valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil; For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.
Psalm 23:4-6

Today I pray for those who need Your presence in their lives as their loving Heavenly Father.

Some earthly fathers are in heaven, some may not be present or a part of their daughter's and son's lives, others are away from home—traveling for work or military service due to the age or other reasons.

I pray for those who have a father who is absent, and those who long for the love, security, and acceptance a good father gives.

I pray that they will see and recognize You as their "Good Good Father."

Let them come to You and receive You, and love You as their Father-God.

And I know that You love them and You will fill their hearts with Your warm, secure and peaceful presence.

In the powerful name of Jesus I pray,

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for calling me to follow Jesus as His disciple.

I will follow Jesus all the days of my life...

My sheep hear My voice,
and I know them,
and they follow Me.
John 10:27

Thank You for adopting me into Your eternal family.

Thank You that I can live free without any fear as Your child...

For you did not receive the spirit of bo***ge again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”
Romans 8:15

I love to look back on how Your love has transformed me.

My heart breaks for those who do not know Your love.

My desire is to be bold and confident in my faith, so that I will share Your good news with those who need to hear of Your love.

I pray that I will recognize Your prompting when You direct me to approach others, that You will lead me in what to say, as Jesus promised...

For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.
Luke 12:12

I ask for Your divine discernment for reaching out to those who need to hear about You.

I do not want to have a faith that is strictly my own, but one that shines brightly for Your glory, as Jesus taught us...

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
Matthew 5:16

Dear Lord Jesus,

There are challenging relationships and conflicts that I am struggling with.

Please forgive me.

I have let some of these issues grow into resentment and bitterness and my heart has become hard in these areas.

Please forgive me.

I look to You, my Lord Jesus, how You gave Your life on the cross for me a sinner...

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8

Thank You Lord Jesus, for Your ultimate and perfect love and sacrifice.

Please forgive me for my unwillingness to forgive others...

I ask that You would soften my heart towards those who have wronged me.

I desire to live as You lived, fully led by Your Holy Spirit.

Let me live as instructed in Your Word...

Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger,
brawling and slander,
along with every form of malice.
Be kind and compassionate to one another,
forgiving each other,
just as in Christ God forgave you.
Ephesians 4:31-32

Lord, I want to be like You.

Please help me to live by Your Word and to follow Your example.

Dear Father God,

Your great love is everlasting and far reaching...

Because of the LORD’s great love
we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
I say to myself,
“The LORD is my portion;
therefore I will wait for him.”
The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him,
to the one who seeks him;
it is good to wait quietly
for the salvation of the LORD.
Lamentations 3:22-26

Your Compassions never fail me.

Lord, you are my portion and my hope is in You.

I thank You Lord for my Salvation.

My worries, fears, anxieties and burdens are heavy...

Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.
Psalms 55:22

Jesus, I come to you for rest...

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.
Matthew 11:28-30

Thank You my Heavenly Father, that Your love never fails. 1 Corinthians 13:8

Your love touches my soul and lifts my spirit. May I be more like You, full of love that is pure and true.

May I share Your love with others always, and especially with everyone I meet today.

Dear Father God,

Thank You for entrusting me with Your Kingdom gifts, talents and resources.

Whatever my earthly portion may be, whether it is my creativity, my spiritual gifts, my generosity, or my compassion, Lord please make known to me what You desire of me.

By knowing my spiritual gifts, my talents, my abilities and my resources, I can plant and sow them for Your glory and for the blessings of others.

As Jesus taught us to pray, I want to see...

Your Kingdom come.
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Matthew 6:10

Jesus told us...

The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.
Luke 10:2

I desire to be one of Your harvest laborers out in Your fields.

I desire to be obedient to Your will in every way.

Lord, please reveal Your calling over my life. I desire to follow You wherever You lead me.

And, thank you for James' powerful teaching that I can be joyful, even in trials; and that I can ask of You for the Wisdom that I lack.

Dear Lord God,

Thank You for this new day.

Each day, as the Earth spins on its axis, the sun shines light on every living thing, all created by You.

The light You provide, in the day and throughout the night, brings life and rhythm to me.

It is in You that I live and move and have my being.
Acts 17:28

I cannot tell my heart to beat.

It is no design of mine that my life should include laughter and dancing and weeping and love.

You have woven Your image and joy into every person.

Your timeline is outside of mine, You move through eternity.

Here I am Lord, small and flawed and fearful; please heal me and use me.

Every year, spring emerges from winter. Every year flowers peek out from the soil.

As I wait for spring, I remember that You work in mysterious ways.

I pray that Your love and goodness will take root in my heart and bloom in my life.

I am in awe of You, my Sovereign Lord.

I pray that my life will be marked by a sense of reverence and wonder for You.

I have recieved an email that I want to share. It is a call for prayer for all today at noon. Please take a moment to stop and pray!

Call to Prayer and Repentance

Dear‍ Friend,

If you think our nation is in trouble now, just wait… As our streets boil over with hate, anger, crime, drugs, and just sheer hopelessness, is there something we can do? You bet there is.

I would like to call for a time of prayer and repentance this Wednesday, January 14, at 12:00 noon.

As a nation our sins are so great. We have increasingly turned our backs on God and His commands, embracing godless secularism. We need to ask His forgiveness and seek His face.

Pray for our leaders, and pray that God would bring calm to our streets.

There are many who would like to stir things up—there are even those who would like to destroy this great country. Pray that these efforts would be thwarted and their plans would be brought into confusion.

Ask God to use His Church to be His instruments of peace in this time of great uncertainty.

Remember, this Wednesday at noon, please stop and pray. Millions of people remembering our sins and asking for forgiveness, repenting, and seeking His face will make a difference.

Let's humble ourselves. Let's give God the glory for this great nation and thank Him for His hand of blessing, protection, and mercy.
