An Episcopal congregation in the Diocese of Northwestern Pennsylvania. St. This is the first project of its kind in the Diocese of Northwestern Pennsylvania.

Mark’s is currently undergoing an intentional re-development project in cooperation with the diocese. Through the commitment of the congregation, work of a talented and diverse staff, and involvement by the bishop and consultants, St. Mark’s is strategically reinventing themselves in hope of a period of significant growth and development. Bishop Rowe believes that St. Mark’s is perfectly poised fo

r this next chapter in their history. By growing into its full potential, St. Mark’s can reach many in the Erie area who currently have no church home. It is an exciting time at St. Mark’s and one that will hopefully become an amazing part of our story.

🎨🕯️ An Evening of Art, Music & Reflection at the Cathedral of St. Paul 🕯️🎶

Join us on Sunday, September 20 for two beautiful opportunities to slow down, connect, and experience the sacred through art, music, and prayer.

🎨 Sacred Pathways: Sacred Harmony
Stop by the Cathedral for the Sacred Pathways Fall Art Exhibit, featuring artist Sandy Shelenberger. The exhibit runs through Sunday, November 1, and the Cathedral is open to the public Monday–Thursday, 10:00 A.M.–2:00 P.M.

Join us at 7:00 P.M. for a special reception to meet Sandy, featuring live music and light refreshments.

🕯️ Candlelight Compline
Then, at 8:00 P.M., join us for Candlelight Compline—a 25-minute candlelit service of chanted prayers, choral music, and reflective silence. Inspired by ancient traditions, Compline invites us to slow down, listen deeply, and connect with the Holy at day’s end.

✨ Come for the art. Stay for the music. Make space for reflection. ✨

🌿 Sacred Pathways: Spirituality in the Public Square

Join us tonight, Tuesday, September 8, at the Cathedral of St. Paul as we continue our Sacred Pathways series exploring spirituality and the world around us.

At 6:00 P.M., we’ll welcome Erin Carey of Groundwork, who will share her expertise in eco-justice, introduce the work of her organization, and highlight other green initiatives happening throughout Erie. 🌱

Then at 7:00 P.M., we’ll gather for Political Evensong—a worship service modeled on the work of Dorothee Sölle, featuring readings, conversation, silence, and concrete calls to action.

Together, we’re creating a spiritual community for the work of a changing world.
