Equipped for Good Works 💚

We launched Equipped for Good Works with a bold prayer: 500 households would join us in building a stronger foundation for Chosen—so that no neighbor in Erie, Pennsylvania, or Bryan/College Station, Texas, has to go without the durable medical equipment they need.

The goal is still 500 households.

And we’re still believing.

Because this campaign has never been about reaching a number just for the sake of reaching it. It’s about people choosing to stand in the gap and say, “I want to be part of this.”

For $21 a month, you can help provide the equipment, resources, and support that make it possible for Chosen to continue serving our communities with dignity, compassion, and purpose.

Every piece of equipment given freely.
Every family met with dignity.
Every need met with a helping hand.
Every “yes” becoming part of something bigger.

New Month. New Mercies. Same Faithful God. 🙌

Tomorrow a new month begins.

Before you fill the calendar with plans, goals, expectations, and everything you hope to accomplish, take a moment to give it all to God.

Give Him the things you’re excited about.
Give Him the things you’re worried about.
Give Him the plans you’re holding tightly.
Give Him the questions you don’t have answers for yet.

“Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.” — Proverbs 16:3

You don’t have to know what this month will bring. You don’t have to carry tomorrow today.

Place it in His hands.
Trust His timing.
Follow His direction.
And be faithful with whatever He puts in front of you.

New month. New opportunities. New mercies.
Same God. Same promises. Same faithful love. ❤️

Whatever September holds, let’s walk into it with open hands and a heart ready to Serve the One.

What does it mean to Serve the One?

It means seeing the person—not the diagnosis, the disability, the statistic, or the need.

It means believing that every person is worthy of dignity, compassion, and love.

It means when someone needs a wheelchair, we see the person who needs to move through life. When someone needs a shower chair, we see the person who deserves to bathe safely. When a caregiver or healthcare worker brings us a need from their home or community, we see the person waiting on the other side of that need.

We may not be able to change the WHOLE world.

But we can serve the person God has placed in front of us today.

Because Jesus didn’t just see crowds. He saw the One.

And we believe we were created for this—for good works, prepared in advance for us to do. (Ephesians 2:10)

See the One.
Love the One.
Serve the One.

That’s Chosen. ❤️

God created you for good works.
Maybe yours looks like giving.
Maybe it’s volunteering.
Maybe it’s donating equipment.
Maybe it’s opening your church to a neighbor in need.
Maybe it’s simply noticing the person in front of you and asking, “How can I help?”

You were made for more.
You were made for good works.
Let’s get equipped.

Two years ago, Chosen gave a woman a rollator walker.

She used it. She kept using it. And eventually, one of the wheels wore out.

So she brought it back to Chosen—not asking for a new walker. She was simply hoping we could replace the wheel and keep her rollator going.

Instead, we were able to give her another gently used rollator that was ready to serve her for the next chapter.

It may seem like a small thing.

But that’s the beauty of this work.

A piece of equipment that someone no longer needs can become independence for someone else. And sometimes, serving the One means being there not just once, but again when a need changes.

One piece of equipment.
One person.
One story.

That’s why we collect, restore, reuse, and give medical equipment a second life.

Because what you no longer need might still have a lot of good left to do.

Serve the One.

The 3rd Annual Chosen Golf Tournament is officially in the books! ⛳️
