Full-Time Worship Leader / Discipleship & Connections Pastor
Position Summary
Epworth First Baptist Church is a growing church in North Georgia seeking a passionate, Christ-centered leader to serve as our Full-Time Worship Leader / Discipleship & Connections Pastor. This individual will provide leadership in worship ministries while also helping guests and members take meaningful next steps in discipleship, connection, and service within the life of the church.
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to lead both modern praise teams and traditional choir ministries in a blended worship environment, a heart for pastoral ministry, and a commitment to biblical discipleship.
Primary Responsibilities:
Worship Ministry Leadership
-Plan and lead Christ-centered worship services in cooperation with the Senior Pastor and church staff.
-Lead a blended worship service that incorporates both contemporary praise music and traditional hymns.
-Direct and develop praise team, choir, musicians, and worship volunteers.
-Recruit, train, schedule, and disciple worship ministry volunteers.
-Coordinate rehearsals and special music for worship services and seasonal events.
-Oversee worship technology and media ministries, including sound, livestream, presentation software, and related volunteers.
-Ensure worship services are biblically grounded, spiritually engaging, and aligned with the mission of the church.
Discipleship & Connections Ministry
-Facilitate a church-wide discipleship strategy focused on spiritual growth and member engagement.
-Provide oversight and strategies to strengthen small group ministries, Sunday School classes, and discipleship opportunities.
-Help guests and members connect through next steps processes including membership classes, small group/ Sunday School participation, and service opportunities.
-Coordinate guest follow-up and assimilation efforts.
-Encourage and equip members toward spiritual maturity, service, and community involvement in cooperation with our Outreach Pastor.
-Work alongside church leadership to cultivate a welcoming and disciple-making church culture.
Pastoral & Staff Responsibilities
-Serve as a pastoral leader within the church family.
-Participate in visitation and other pastoral care opportunities as needed.
-Support the overall vision, mission, values and strategy of the church.
-Participate in staff meetings, ministry planning, and church events.
-Maintain a consistent personal walk with Christ and model biblical leadership.
Qualifications:
-A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and a growing personal relationship with Him.
-Agreement with the Baptist Faith & Message 2000 and the vision of Epworth First Baptist Church.
-Ability to lead vocally and musically in a blended worship setting.
-Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
-Experience in worship ministry and/or discipleship leadership preferred.
-Bible college or seminary training preferred.
-Current ordination or future ordination preferred.
-Ability to work effectively with volunteers, staff, and church leadership.
-Commitment to seek continual personal spiritual growth and leadership development.
Compensation:
Compensation based on education and experience.
