Men cannot manufacture peace. Human plans for the purification and uplifting of individuals or of society will fail of producing peace, because they do not reach the heart. The only power that can create or perpetuate true peace is the grace of Christ. When this is implanted in the heart, it will cast out the evil passions that cause strife and dissension. After God made man, He blessed them (Genesis 1:28), and after each day of creation, He looked at what He had made and said it was good. But when the seventh day came, He did something different. He didn't call it good, He blessed it (Genesis 2:3).
That is the only day in all of creation that God specifically blessed.
