To APPREHEND is more than to understand. Biblically, it means to lay hold of, seize or take possession of something with intention. 💪🏼 Apprehending requires movement, it requires choice. It requires the courage to reach beyond what is familiar and step into what God has promised.
“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all of your heart.”
Jeremiah 29:13
This passage in Jeremiah reveals a profound spiritual truth, God responds to wholehearted pursuit. When we seek Him with our whole heart, we don’t merely learn about Him, we find Him. ❤️🔥
In the finding, we gain authority to apprehend what He desires to restore, heal and redeem in our lives, including the strongholds passed down through generations.
As we find ourselves vulnerable to external voices or cyclical patterns within the systems we are a part of, the scripture is clear, there is an open invitation to seek the Father with all of who we are. As we apprehend this invitation, we will find that what is pursued with intention is met with revelation. The Lord will open the eyes of our heart and reveal to us His thoughts, His ways, and His intentions. 🙏🏼
Pray with us:
“Lord, I come before You right now. I repent for the ways I have not sought You with all of my heart. repent for the ways I have found comfort in the safety of old patterns. Father, rid me of myself, I belong to You. I thank You that You say in Your Word that You will not leave us orphans but that You are coming to us. Lord, commit afresh right now to seek You with all my heart. To enter Your throne room of Grace with thanksgiving and Your courts with Praise for finding me, even when I fall short of seeking You with all of my heart. Teach me to apprehend the fullness of seeking You. Break off of my life the comfort and safety of what binds me from the fullness of knowing You. I receive Your truth, Your voice and Your discernment. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
