Remembering Deputy Sheriff Winfield Edie today!

Today, with humility and deep respect, we honor the anniversary of Deputy Sheriff Winfield Edie’s passing.

Deputy Edie, a member of the Chelan County dive team, tragically drowned during a training dive in Lake Chelan after calling for help that could not reach him in time. The cause was never determined.

He faithfully served for five years, was just 29, and is lovingly remembered by his wife and daughter. END OF WATCH: SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 24, 1984

We are accepting donations of new or gently used jackets for our jacket giveaway at this Friday’s Trunk or Treat! Drop off jackets at the church door this week and then come shop for new ones for your kiddos on Friday!

Red Cross has opened a shelter for Lower Sugarloaf Fire evacuees at the church. The pets are allowed to stay with the owner. If you need more information, please don't hesitate to call 206-409-0719 and talk to one of the Red Cross staff. Stay safe!

We are opening the church for anybody affected by the Lower Sugarloaf Fire who needs a shelter. The Red Cross will be at the church by noon today to provide assistance. Please get in touch with 509-393-9753 for more information.
