📸 VBS Recap: What a Mess... and what a blessing!

“What a Mess! VBS” was a huge success! 🎨
We want to say a huge THANK YOU to every volunteer, teacher, kitchen worker, helper, parent, and church member who gave their time, energy, prayers, and support to make this week such a success.

Most importantly, we thank God for the opportunity to share His love and His Word with each child who attended. We had a great time learning about how Jesus can make beauty from our mess, and we pray that the seeds planted this week will continue to grow for years to come.

Thank you to everyone who prayed, served, donated, and participated. We can’t wait to see what next year brings! ❤️

🎨 Reminder! VBS starts TOMORROW! 🎨

We can't wait to welcome children and families for an exciting week of fun, friends, faith, and learning about how ✨Jesus makes beauty from our mess!✨

📅 June 10–12 | 5:30–8:30 PM
🍽 Dinner served nightly

📅 June 13 | 9:00 AM–12:00 Noon
🌭 Lunch cookout to follow

There will be games, crafts, music, Bible lessons, and lots of fun as we learn about God's love together. Invite your friends, neighbors, and family members to join us!

Please join us in welcoming Pastor Shane Traylor and his wife, Rachel, to the Goodman Baptist Church family!

We are excited to announce that Brother Shane will begin serving as our pastor this Sunday (06/14), and we are grateful for God's guidance in bringing the Traylor family to our church. As they begin this new chapter of ministry, we look forward to growing together in faith, serving together, and seeing all that the Lord has planned for our church and community.

Shane and Rachel are blessed with two children, Bekah and Garrett, and we are thankful for the opportunity to welcome their family as they begin this journey here with us.

We invite everyone in our church family and throughout the community to join us this Sunday (06/14) for worship as Brother Shane brings his first message as the pastor of Goodman Baptist Church. Following the service, we will share a fellowship lunch as we celebrate and officially welcome them into our church family.

Please keep the Traylor family in your prayers as they begin this new season of ministry.

What a blessing today was! ☀️❤️

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out and supported our Youth Group Car Wash & Yard Sale Fundraiser today. We were blessed with a great turnout and are so grateful for every donation, purchase, encouraging word, and prayer.

Thank you to those who donated items for the yard sale, stopped by to shop, brought vehicles for us to wash, shared our event, and volunteered your time to help make today a success. Because of your generosity, we are one step closer to reaching our fundraising goals and providing opportunities for our youth to grow in their faith, serve others, and build lasting friendships centered on Christ.

We truly have an amazing church family and community, and we couldn't have done it without you. We thank God for each person who helped make today possible and for the many ways He continues to provide through His people.

Rom. 8:11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

Raised From The Dead

Skeptics have been around since the beginning of time. There are many people today who still don't believe astronauts walked on the moon. They are convinced that the event was produced at a remote movie set.

Many of Christ's disciples were skeptics too. They followed Jesus until He was arrested and put to death. When the going got tough their only concern was self-preservation.

That all changed three days later. When they saw the risen Christ, they became fearless. You couldn't stop them from telling others about Jesus' resurrection. The fear of death no longer held them captive.

When we are in Christ, we no longer need to fear death either. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead will also raise us. If you are in Christ, don't let death or the grave scare you. You have victory over both. God bless you!
