Today is Thanksgiving Day. It is the day that we are to express our gratitude for what God has done as well as what he is about to do in our lives. We are to give thanks always for all things unto God in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 5:20)

Please join me in a prayer of Thanksgiving for today.

Heavenly Father, once again we come to you in total praise, glory, and thanksgiving as we gather together around this table laden with your bountiful gifts to us.

We thank you for always providing what we need and sometimes granting wishes for the things we don't. Today Lord, we are especially thankful for each other.

Let us now join together in peaceful loving fellowship to celebrate your love for us, and the love we have for each other.

We thank you Lord for the countless blessings that you have bestowed upon us throughout this year and we ask that you continue to rain down those blessings in the upcoming new year.

And always Lord, may the words of our mouths and the meditation of our hearts be acceptable in thy sight. In your Holy name we pray. Amen and Amen.
