You are invited to St. Paul's Lutheran Church tonight to hear Bishop Jim Dunlop, bishop of the Lower Susquehanna Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, reflect on his 12 years as bishop of the Lower Susquehanna Synod and the future of the church. St. Paul's Lutheran Church is located at 6839 Wertzville Road, Enola. We will gather in the outdoor pavilion (weather-permitting) at 7:00 pm for conversation and fellowship. This is part of the church's Wine & Cheese Wednesday series, and snacks to share are encouraged. All are welcome (with or without snacks)!

Easter Vigil in the pavilion (dress accordingly).
On this night we’ll hear some of the great stories from the Old Testament, affirm our baptisms, and hear John’s account of resurrection morning. S’mores after the service!

Sunday, April 20, 6:15 am
Easter Sunrise Worship (outdoors, near the pavilion) with holy communion
Breakfast follows in the pavilion

Please note that in-person worship for St. Paul's St Paul's Lutheran Church, Enola PA is ON for this morning! Use your judgment about whether you feel it is safe to travel. We will still be on Facebook Live at 9:00 am and will send the recording later today. Also, since we know attendance is likely to be low, we will still collect Souper Bowl items for New Hope Ministries next week. Be safe out there!

Today is Veterans Day. Let us pray. “Almighty and ever-living God, we give you thanks for all who have served and defended our country and the values of freedom and justice we hold so dear. Help us be mindful of the sacrifices they made and the hardship endured by their families and friends, so that we never take for granted the privileges they have secured for us. Hear us, we pray, through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen.” (Prayer Book for the Armed Services, p. 66)

This year’s Community Thanksgiving Service sponsored by the Upper West Shore Ecumenical Ministerium will be held on Sunday, November 17 at 3:00 pm at Mount Zion United Methodist Church, 4685 Mount Zion Drive, Enola. The speaker will be Eric Saunders, Executive Director of New Hope Ministries. In additiion, the Ministerium’s 2024 Christian Service Award will be presented during the service. Attendees are encouraged to bring monetary offerings and non-perishable food items for New Hope Ministries.
