Prison walls may limit where a person can go, but they can never limit where the grace of God can reach. 🙌

Friendship Baptist Church is blessed to support Kairos Prison Ministry as it carries the love and hope of Jesus Christ to men and women behind prison walls.

In this powerful testimony, an incarcerated man shares how God used Kairos to reach him in prison and lead him to salvation. His story reminds us that no one is beyond God’s reach, no life is beyond redemption, and no place is too dark for the light of Christ.

Watch the video and see what God is doing through this incredible ministry. Please continue praying for Kairos volunteers, those they serve, and the lives still waiting to hear the Good News.

🧭 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫: 𝐉𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐲 𝐕𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞

At Friendship Baptist Church, we believe healthy leadership begins with a servant’s heart, a commitment to God’s Word, and a passion for proclaiming the gospel.

As our Lead Pastor, Jeremy’s desire is to help build a church where people can experience God’s grace, find genuine community, grow in their faith and purpose, and work together to advance God’s Kingdom.

Jeremy is a retired United States Coast Guard veteran, where he served as a criminal investigator. His years of service taught him lasting lessons about teamwork, sacrifice, discipline, and caring for others, which are lessons that continue to shape the way he serves and leads our church.

For the past 10 years, Jeremy has had the privilege of serving in various ministries and helping people of all ages know and follow Jesus. He earned a Master of Theological Studies from Gateway Seminary of the Southern Baptist Convention and remains committed to careful biblical study and ministry grounded in the truth of God’s Word.

𝐀 𝐅𝐞𝐰 𝐅𝐮𝐧 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐉𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐲:
🎬 He appeared in two episodes of NCIS: New Orleans. Feel free to ask him about that when you visit!

🍿 His favorite movie is Top Gun.

⛳ In his free time, he enjoys golfing, hunting, fishing, watching documentaries, reading, and playing video games…though he makes no claims about being especially good at the first three.

❤️ Most importantly, Jeremy is grateful to share both life and ministry with his wife of 17 years, Carol, and their son, Baylen.

Friendship Baptist Church is actively monitoring the weather conditions expected across Ennis, Waxahachie, and Ellis County.

A Flood Watch is in effect from 4:00 p.m. Wednesday through 7:00 a.m. Friday. Heavy rainfall and flash flooding are the primary concerns. Please stay weather-aware, use caution while traveling, and never drive through a flooded roadway. 🌧️🌊

What we believe matters. At Friendship Baptist Church, our faith is centered on Jesus Christ, grounded in the Word of God, and shaped by the historic Christian faith and our Baptist convictions.

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, completely trustworthy and the authority for what we believe and how we live.

𝐆𝐎𝐃

We believe there is one true God who eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the Creator and Lord of all and is worthy of our worship and obedience.

We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the grave, ascended to the Father, and will return again.

We believe baptism is for those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ and is practiced by immersion as a public testimony of faith and obedience to Christ. Baptism does not provide salvation but pictures the believer’s identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus.

We observe the Lord's Supper as a remembrance of Christ's sacrifice for us and as a proclamation of His death as we look forward to His return.

We believe Jesus Christ will return and that every person will face judgment. Those who have trusted in Christ will spend eternity with God, while those who reject Him will remain separated from Him.

What a wonderful morning in the house of the Lord! 🙌 Today, we concluded our “Knowing God” sermon series, where we learned that God is holy, sovereign, faithful, and gracious. Next week, we look forward to beginning our journey through the book of James! 📖

We also gathered around the Lord’s Table to observe Communion, remembering Christ’s sacrifice and the grace, forgiveness, and hope we have through Him. 🍞🍇

We finished the morning by wrapping up our meet-and-greet with our new pastor and his family. We’re grateful God has brought them to our church family and excited for all He has in store for this new season of ministry. ❤️

It was truly a beautiful day of worship, remembrance, fellowship, and celebration! ⛪
