For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. — 2 Corinthians 4:5–6 (ESV)

Pastors, as you make your final preparations for tomorrow, let these verses lift the weight of production off your shoulders.

Notice where the pressure rests in Paul's words: it is not on you. You are not called to preach yourself, your own eloquence, or your own ability to change hearts. You are simply a servant carrying a message, pointing every eye to Jesus Christ as Lord.

The same God who spoke the universe into existence with the words "Let light shine out of darkness" is the One who does the heavy lifting. The creation of spiritual life in the human heart requires nothing less than divine power, and God delights in using your simple, faithful proclamation to accomplish it. You bring the vessel; He brings the light.

Rest well today knowing that the fruit of tomorrow morning does not depend on your perfection, but on God's power through the Spirit.

Step into the pulpit with holy confidence—not in what you bring to the table, but in the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ that shines through you!

Praying for clarity, joy, and the Spirit's power as you preach tomorrow!

Congratulations are in order for Pastor Billy Benson of Garland Road Baptist (Enid) for successfully defending his Ph.D at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

His dissertation title is: “Through the Eternal Spirit: The Holy Spirit and the Atonement in the Epistle to the Hebrews.”

Well done Dr. Benson!

And well done Kari Benson and family! Accomplishments like this are a family affair.

How do you stay connected as an association? Here is one easy way.

Praying for another associational church allows:

1️⃣ The congregation to know they’re not alone.
2️⃣ The Gospel and the Kingdom of God is bigger than their church.
3️⃣ Other churches need prayer.
4️⃣ Takes the needs of a pastor, church, and its members before the God of creation.

It's the time of year for your church to complete it's ACP (Annual Church Profile) data. Please take time to complete this important report!

Why should you complete it?

This information is vital in allowing associations (like ours) and state conventions (like Oklahoma Baptists) to provide helpful resources, equipping, and care for pastors and churches in our area.

If our office can serve you in completing it, please let us know. We would love to help!
