The children had a great time in Sunday School this morning! I was so glad to be able to see their smiling faces! Ms. Lori taught 4th & 5th graders and Ms. Robin taught 1st-3rd grade this morning. Ms. Lori and her group made pumpkin bread to put in care packages for our Care Ministry baskets❤️ Ms. Robin and her group put together snack bags with encouraging notes in them for our Blessings Box ❤️
The children have also started to pick out what they want to dress up as for our Living Nativity on December 13! Any child is welcome to join us for the 11:00 service on December 13. We will have extra costumes available that morning 😊

7-8 on the church lawn
Hotdogs, pumpkin painting, card making, lawn games, Scoops ice cream truck PLUS our children and Learning Tree children will be singing!

Today was a fun day! Our memory verse was Hebrews 13:8. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. We learned that although things change all around us, God never does, no matter what our circumstances💕

We had a great time at Sunday school today! We talked about the “Ripple effect”, and how our kind actions, no matter how big or small, can have big effects on others. We learned that kind words can impact others and, as Proverbs 16:24 tells us, “Kind words are like honey— sweet to the soul.” 💕

It was a WONDERFUL (a little WILD!) Wednesday Worship!

•we talked about rough words and loving words using sandpaper and cotton balls. The children are going to try their best to use loving words this week with their family & friends! ❤️😊❤️

•they all were able to recite our Bible verse- “LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF” 🎉❤️🎉

•the children had a great time painting a child cut out- we sang the song “Jesus Loves the little Children” & then discussed how we are all made precious in His sight and He loves us know matter what we look like on the outside!

First Church Children had a great time yesterday watching a movie in the Chinese Theater, going to the Jordan Room for a quick study of our bible verse & then playing in the block room with Miss Beth Simmons and their friends! What a blessing it is to have so many wonderful rooms that our children can enjoy!

God is the giver of LOVE ❤️

Please join us tomorrow morning from 10-10:50 for our children’s small group. This is for 1st through 5th grade. We will meet in the 3rd floor in the Jordan Room. Invite a friend!

We had so much fun this morning during our small group time! Some of the highlights:

•picking out a treasure from the treasure box because you are one of God’s treasures!

•going on a letter hunt and then figuring out what the letters spelled...God is the giver of COURAGE!

•object lesson using a candle and it’s flame to represent each one of us. We wrote down our fears on a piece of paper and used it as a fear fan. We talked about what happened to our steady flame when fear took over. Then, we used a ziplock bag (our COURAGE bag) in front of the flame and used the fear fan and guess what? Our flame stayed steady! God gives us COURAGE!

•leaning our bible verse: “Don’t fear, for i am with you” the kids rocked this part! 😊

So glad to see all the happy faces this morning! If you weren’t there, we missed you and hope you will join us this Wednesday from 6-7 for our small group time!
