As Christians who are blessed to live in the United States of America, it is good, right, and salutary that we take the time often to give thanks to God for the blessings that we receive from Him in this country. Is America perfect as a nation? Of course not. But I believe she's the best thing going in the world!

On Sunday, July 5, in both our services we will follow a special theme, “Sweet Land of Liberty,” which draws our attention to the liberty we have in our nation, liberty won for us by our forefathers, and above all, the liberty that we have in Christ Jesus. In singing the hymns, hearing Scripture and the sermon, and in our prayers, we seek to bring honor to Christ alone as we remember the eternal liberty we have in Him as we receive the forgiveness of sins and the life everlasting through Word and Sacrament.

So mark your calendars and come and worship the King of kings with us, our Lord Jesus Christ.
