Yesterday was another busy and joyous day at CLC. The VBS kids shared what they learned and we saw a video of highlights from their amazing week exploring the Great Bible Reef. 🪸

We celebrated three First Communions with Lily, Ember, and Evelyn. 🍷 🥖

After the worship, we shared coffee ☕️ and refreshments in the fellowship hall-turned-ocean and had our annual church summer cookout. 🍔 🥒 🥗 Many thanks to Thrivent for providing the seed funding for the cookout.

VBS Day 5: God’s People Believe
Exploring Oceania 🚤

•A flotilla of sea turtles 🐢 passed through the Great Bible Reef 🪸, but offered only one word “DUDE!” instead of clues about where the last remaining piece of the map 🗺️ might be
•Story time, sand art, turtle boxes, science & more!
•The younger kids completed their escape room adventure before the older kids
•Grilled pizza 🍕 and cool fruit gelatos 🥥

🗺️ Did our adventurers find that last piece of the map by the end of the day?

🦈 Where there any shark sightings?

Find out tomorrow during our worship service starting at 9:30 am where our VBS students will sing and share what they learned this week. You are also invited to join us for coffee ☕️ hour, communion cake, and a cookout afterwards.

VBS Day 4: God’s People Share
Exploring the Caribbean 🚤

•Pirates 🏴‍☠️ took over VBS with costumes, face painting, crafts, more ocean science, story time, nautical action games (kids learned bonus terms like starboard and port) and more
•Build your own lunch box day
•Adult & parent chicken curry day (Did you know we offer campers and their families lunch each day?)

The question remains amidst the many pirate jokes: Has anyone seen any sharks? 🦈
