It is truly the joy of our lives to serve this community. God is moving in San Diego and capturing hearts with His love and we feel lucky to be a witness to it. A honor and beauty to witness death come to life, lost ones come home and life really be found.

Our staff is headed to the desert this week on a retreat to quiet our souls before the Lord, rest, play, laugh and connect with each-other. Would love if you would pray for us as we seek the Lord + commune!

Also, here’s the staff in question. We are all just kids at the end of the day.

Every Thursday from 7-8am at the chapel, we come to minister to the Lord and center ourselves around His presence.

To minister to Him is to turn our focus fully toward Him - to adore Him, honor Him, bless Him and agree with who He is.

Come worship. Come pray. It is unhurried, simple & all unto Jesus!

“The Word made flesh is silenced.
The Light of the world is hidden.
The Resurrection and the Life lies dead.

And yet, silence is not defeat.

The buried Christ has entered the deepest darkness so that no place is left unaffected by His redeeming power.

This is the holy hope.
Hoping against hope.

And so, we are called to be a people who wait, who trust and who keep vigil. But the tomb that holds Jesus will not hold Him forever; death has met its match and Sunday is coming.

Indeed, He will rise in glory!”

Good Friday.

The day Love endured the cross and entered fully into suffering, injustice, abandonment and death.

On Good Friday, Jesus embodied the weight and depth of sin + evil on the cross for us. Yet, we call it “Good Friday” because this is the greatest victory of redemptive history — God defeated evil by absorbing it and His perfect redemption comes through sacrificial love that costs everything.

We now get to live and breathe and move in that perfect Love.

Today we honor the sacrifice Jesus made on our behalf. The weight of the cross and His death. Without it, there would be no glory of the resurrection.

Join us tonight on Moonlight Beach at 5:30pm. There will be worship, a paddle out + baptisms — as we honor Christ’s death and join in His resurrection.

Holy Week prayer room has been so beautiful, as we gaze on the face of Jesus together.

He is the most beautiful one.
