The BREAKING BARRIERS ministry is about growing in our personal relationship with Jesus Christ, by removing barriers that keep us separated from Him. We all have barriers in our lives that keep us from having the kind of peace that only a personal and intimate relationship with Jesus can provide. After that barrier or those barriers are broken, we need to heal spiritually and learn to rely more on
a relationship with Christ to find true life fulfillment. The BREAKING BARRIERS ministry is for anyone who needs or wants structure, a clearly defined path as it were, to break the barriers that separate them from God and to learn how to have a deeper and more fulfilling relationship with Him. Those barriers could be anything, such as too much TV, anger, resentment, alcohol, drugs, smoking, lust addictions, relationship addiction, co-dependency, idolatry, anything that is used in place of or draws focus away from having the kind of personal and intimate relationship with our Heavenly Father. The On-Going Weekly Meetings for BREAKING BARRIERS are held on Tuesdays from 6:30pm to 8:00pm at New Heights Christian Fellowship in Boise. Come in the main entrance and follow the sign. We start our evening with a Pot-Luck Dinner and then take a break. Following the break, we have a topic introduction and then break-out groups dividing men and women during the meeting times. Once a month we will have a co-ed big meeting for open sharing. We utilize the 12-Step Model of recovery and self-improvement and we focus on the scriptural basis of each principle of the step model for recovery. Our goal is to teach people to read and use the Bible in a way that makes sense in their everyday lives and struggles.
