UPDATE: Float trip is now scheduled for Wednesday, July 2nd due to high river levels and the possibility of river closure on Tuesday.

Harvey's is once again open for reservations; sorry for those who were turned away before we were made aware.

All current reservations are still in place. If you made a reservation and Wednesday will not work, you may visit Harvey's for a refund.

For those planning afternoon recreation, Rt 106 is scheduled to be closed for the day on Monday, June 30th. This closure will be just past the Alley Mill, so travel between the campground and Alley Mill will not be affected. If weather delays this project, the closure may happen on another day.

Canoe/kayak/rafting information:

Our float trip is planned for Tuesday, July 1st. Harvey's Alley Spring Canoe Rental down the hill off 106 will be managing the rentals; go there to reserve and pay

Rates:
Canoes: $40
Single kayaks: $30
Double kayaks: $40
Rafts: $125
*all while supply lasts

Note:

Management at Harvey's reported someone called in and reserved 8 canoes under Jason Range's name and phone number last Saturday evening. Please call Harvey's to change the reservation to your own name if it was you so the canoes can be officially reserved.

Get your children's registrations completed at your earliest opportunity. From last year's numbers, we have only 40% signed up. Our teachers need to start compiling the correct amount of materials. Thank you!

Please complete one registration form per family. This information is used to help our teachers prepare enough class materials for all the children. Register children from preschool age through 5th grade. The Junior High class includes 6th, 7th and 8th grades.

Reminder: register your children for classes so the teachers know how many materials to prepare and we can make sure we have enough for everyone. Class registration is separate from campground registration and is for children from preschool age through 5th grade.

Passing on this announcement from the staff at Dairy Shack:

"Parking has always been tough here at the Shack. We got some parking stops installed!

The goal is to enter the lot from 19 highway and park at an angle and then exit out the top onto the side street. This has ALWAYS been the goal. We just have not had a way to let anyone know it.

SO PLEASE DO NOT ENTER FROM THE BACK STREET! Our reason for this is when we are busy in the summer, its difficult to get pulled onto the highway with the gas station being busy too as well as to try and lessen the possibility of backing into other vehicles."

You may reserve 2025 campsites starting March 3 at 8:00 AM Central Time. Reservations are made from the Discovery Ministries website. Campers may also call Discovery Ministries on the phone and a staff member will fill out the online form on your behalf.

Also please note that Discovery Ministries has raised their RV camping price to $15/person/day, not including the 10% MBC discount.
