There are places of fear and hurt that we all live with.

I know because I've lived there.

When I was almost 19, my dad came out of a coma and called me to his hospital room. He looked me in the eye and said, "Randy, I realize I've never said I love you."

Those holy, magical, charmed words became an exit sign for me. They pulled me out of a terrible spiral I didn't even know I was in.

On this episode, I'm talking about the zone of fear and hurt, and the journey into the zone of love.

I hope my voice becomes a voice in the wilderness for somebody. I hope you hear me saying there is a way out. And I hope you find the courage to tell the people in your life those three beautiful words:

"I love you."

Ugly has had its day. Let's do something beautiful.

What if we're making faith more complicated than Jesus ever intended?

After His resurrection, Jesus gave His followers a remarkably simple instruction:

"Go forgiving."

Not go condemning.
Not go shaming.
Not go guilting.

Go forgiving.

In this clip, I explore why forgiveness isn't just something we occasionally offer—it's the very way of love. When we choose forgiveness over judgment and compassion over condemnation, we begin to walk the same path Jesus walked.

Listen to this clip from the latest episode and consider what might change if forgiveness became your first response instead of your last.

In this clip, I'm talking about something I've been thinking a lot about lately.

In a world of hate and darkness, I want some sunshine and rainbows and unicorns and cotton candy. I want some carnival music. And I want to be the music that says, "I love you."

Too often we reach for the cheap dopamine hit of outrage and anger when what our hearts really need is beauty, kindness, and connection.

This is also the first time we've experimented with stock video to help illustrate the message rather than relying entirely on captions and graphics.

I'd love your feedback. Does the video help bring the message to life? Does it feel like a good fit for the show?

Blame becomes an ego feed.

It convinces us everyone else is wrong and we’re the righteous ones standing above it all. But when we live inside blame and shame long enough, our ego becomes self-supporting instead of outward-looking. We stop reaching toward people and start building identities around judgment.

In this clip from The No BS Bishop Podcast, I talk about why I believe one of the great spiritual challenges of our time is learning to mute the volume of blame and raise the voice of love instead.

Love loud.
