We talk about love. We write songs about love. We long to be loved. But do we really know what it is? In this sermon series we will see how God defines love and what he says love requires of us. See you Sunday at 10am!

Since the service was canceled today, here is an exercise you can work through:

Read 1 Kings 10:1-11:25

1. In what ways did King Solomon experience God’s blessing?

2. When the Queen of Sheba (Yemen on today’s map) travelled to visit Solomon what was her impression of him?

3. In chapter 13 Solomon was at the top of his game but in chapter 14 everything changed. Solomon had an obvious problem, his many wives. How did they negatively influence his walk with God?

4. What can we learn from Solomon’s experience about the influence other people can have on our lives?

5. According to 1 Kings 11:4-6 what was Solomon’s greatest weakness?

6. How would you describe the “spiritual wipeout” Solomon experienced

7. What painful consequences did Solomon face?

8. What steps do you need to take to make sure that you maintain a healthy heart?
