The First Baptist Church of Elyria kids were thrilled to return to their small groups for Grow Kids this week! 🎉 It's Seeing their energy and excitement as they dive back into learning about God's love and growing in their faith together is amazing. 🌱❤️

It was fantastic to see SO many kids in Sunday school this morning. It's such a joy to see their smiling faces each week. This week, the 4 y.o. to the 4th graders heard the story of the temptation of Jesus in the desert. They learned that God gives them all the tools they need to fight against sin.

The 5th and 6th graders continued their series on "The Family." They talked about the importance of obeying the command to honor their parents.

FBC Elyria Kids Ministry is back today with our regular schedule of ministries!

This morning in Sunday school, the 4 y.o. to 4th graders learned that God wants us to grow in our knowledge of Him. The 5th and 6th graders started a new series on God's plan for the family.

Use these pictures to help review and discuss what they learned throughout the week!

REMEMBER! Grow Kids is back to meet on Sunday nights starting tonight. We will begin in the auditorium tonight for communion. Immediately following communion, the kids will meet their Grow Kids teachers in the foyer and can be picked up from their classrooms at 7:15.

After the Christmas program, the kids returned to their Sunday School classes, where they enjoyed yummy treats and made Christmas crafts. They also heard the story of Zacharias and Elizabeth. They learned that prayer is not about getting what we want but praying that God would help us to desire the same things that he wants for us and the things that bring honor and glory to Him. God always hears and knows our prayers so we can turn to Him.

It's been a busy few weeks in Kid's Ministry! Over the last couple of weeks, we have been practicing for our upcoming Kid's Christmas program, been led in worship by our Senior High youth group, and even used Legos and paint to tell the Christmas story.

Remember that this Sunday morning is the Kid's Christmas program. All kids should meet in the library at 9:15. We are also excited about the family Christmas party on Wednesday, Dec. 20th. Email or text Pastor Derek to let us know that you are coming.

We had a great morning in Sunday school. All the kids (4K-6th grade) have the same lessons for December as we focus on the coming birth of our Savior. Today, the kids were reminded that Jesus' birth had been promised by prophets hundreds of years before He was born. The prophets point us to the truth that God always keeps His promises!

The kids have been working very hard to prepare for their upcoming Christmas program. Make sure you are there for the Christmas program on December 17th in the morning service!
