One year ago, our lives changed unexpectedly.
What began as a normal day quickly became one of the most difficult seasons our family had ever faced. A journey that impacted not only Pastor Darrell and me, but our sons, our church, and every part of our lives.
Over the past year, we’ve learned that survival is only part of the story. We are grateful for the miracle, but we also understand that healing is a journey. There is purpose in the process — even in the moments we don’t fully understand. There is healing, adjustment, uncertainty, gratitude, and learning how to live after life-altering moments.
As we begin sharing our journey, our hope is that others would know they are not alone. If you’ve walked through a medical crisis, cared for a loved one, experienced a major life transition, or had to learn how to live after life changed unexpectedly, this conversation is for you too. We want to share our journey, and we invite others to share theirs as well.
Today, we’re opening the door to share a small part of our journey. This is not the full story; it’s only the beginning of the conversation. 🤍
