Fresh Wind Youth is moving BACK to Sunday nights! 📣

Do you have a student entering 6th-12th grade? We’d love to personally invite them to join us!

Starting this Sunday, FWY will once again meet on Sunday evenings at 6pm. Our goal is to create a place where students can build lasting friendships, have fun, grow in their faith, and connect with leaders who genuinely care about them.

We want to personally invite YOU to join us for what could become your new favorite night of the week. 🎉

What a special night at the General Johnnie Wilson 8th Grade Bridging Ceremony! 🎓

We are incredibly honored and grateful that the GJW students and staff raised money to purchase and present a bench to FW tonight. What a thoughtful gift and reminder of the partnership we’ve been blessed to share through the Adopt-A-School program. ❤️

Thank you to everyone involved for your generosity, kindness, and support. We love being part of this community and cheering on these students as they step into their next chapter!

Congratulations to all of the 8th grade graduates! 🎉

A special thank you to Doreen Evans for her heart to serve students and support after school tutoring. Her willingness to share resources and invest extra time has made a meaningful impact on both the students and volunteers involved.

We’re thankful for the partnership with Lorain City Schools and for everyone who helps make these opportunities possible. Together, we can continue making a difference in the lives of students in our community! 💙📚

A special thank you to Doreen Evans for going above and beyond to support after-school tutoring at General Johnnie Wilson Middle School.

Through the partnership with A Fresh Wind Church, volunteers tutor students every Thursday after school. Mrs. Evans generously lends her classroom laptops each week and stays after school until tutoring ends so students can access their work.

Amy Vitelli shared that without Mrs. Evans’ support, the tutoring program would not have had access to laptops.

"She lends us her classroom laptops each week and stays in her room until we are done and return the laptops," said Vitelli. "We had no access to laptops until she started lending us hers. She has gone above and beyond."

Today we remember and honor the fallen heroes who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. 🇺🇸

As we reflect on their service, we’re reminded that Jesus gave His life to provide us with eternal freedom. Earthly freedoms can be taken away, but the freedom found in Christ can never be destroyed.

“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me… To proclaim liberty to captives and freedom to prisoners.” - Isaiah 61:1

Take a few moments today to thank God for His blessings and pray for our military and their families.

This year, kids are invited to Illumination Station VBS, where they’ll discover how Jesus is the Light of the World and learn what it means to shine brightly for Him. 🌟
