Many parents struggle with their adult children's life choices, feeling fear about their future. We watch them grow from little, helpless babes into adults who can make amazing or devastating decisions.

Maybe your kids are navigating iffy dating relationships, discouraging job hunts, health problems.....any number of challenges. In these seasons, it isn't easy to trust God. It gets hard to see what good could possibly come at the end. We get tempted to intervene, to change the path our kids are walking with our own hands.

But turning your child over to God means trusting His love and timing, rather than trying to control their decisions.

We have to orient our prayers in love, focusing on God’s transformation rather than worry about our kid's actions. We can turn to scripture to guide how we pray for our children, letting the Word shape our perspective and anchoring our trust in God.

Ultimately, God works in ways we may not understand, and He provides grace to help both parents and children through tough times.
