Many in our church have been greatly blessed by Voddie's faithful preaching of the word. He will be missed by all of us left here, but he is in the joyful presence of his Saviour! You ran the race well brother!

We are saddened to inform friends that our dear brother, Voddie Baucham, Jr., has left the land of the dying and entered the land of the living. Earlier today, after suffering an emergency medical incident, he entered into his rest and the immediate presence of the Savior whom he loved, trusted, and served since he was converted as a college student. Please pray for Bridget, their children, and grandchildren.

Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. – Psalm 116:15

Some musings as we approach Mother's day. No greater privilege and responsibility is laid before a woman as motherhood is. Your work in the home is beyond estimation.

“I learnt more about Christianity from my mother than from all the theologians in England.” John Wesley

“Never could it be possible for any man to estimate what he owes
to a godly mother.” Charles H. Spurgeon

“A mother is a chalice, the vessel without which no human being has ever been born. She is created to be a life-bearer, cooperating with her husband and with God in the making of a child.” Elisabeth Elliot

“What is a godly mother? A godly mother is one who loves the Lord her God with all her heart, soul, mind and strength and then passionately, consistently and unrelentingly teaches her child to do the same.” Elizabeth George

“Homemaking is surely in reality the most important job in the world. What do ships, railways, mines, cars, government, etc exist for, except that people may be fed, warmed and safe in their own homes? The homemaker’s job is one for which all others exist.” CS Lewis

Saving faith is never momentary. It is continuously demonstrated in the lives of those who place their trust in Christ. We can come to Him just as we are, but those who truly believe cannot remain unchanged.

If we endure, awe will also reign with Him;
If we deny Him, He also will deny us. 2 Timothy 2:12

The law of God, in its perfection, is the standard of righteousness and demands full obedience from all people. It threatens death and destruction to those who transgress it. However, the law is not given as a means of salvation; it cannot save, for it is too holy and perfect for fallen man to obey. The gospel, in contrast, is the good news that Christ has obeyed the law perfectly in our place, and by His death, He has satisfied the law's demands for us. -Jonathan Edwards (The Works of Jonathan Edwards, Vol. 1)
