There is not a right or wrong way to mourn grief.
During our Lock-In this weekend we knew we would be missing a huge part of our group.
Last month we gathered to find a way we could honor Calvin. We decorated and dedicated this tile in his memory.
There is no denying that our get togethers will never be the same however one thing we know is that we will keep Calvin’s memory alive by never forgetting his favorite candy and games and the laughter we shared.
Calvin’s family remains in our prayers and we will continue to pray and support our Youth during all stages of grief.
You’re forever in our hearts Calvin 🩵 May to find the strength to continue our group with love, faith and trust.

✝️Matthew 5:4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

FUMC Elon LIFT Families,
It is with a heavy heart to share with you that this past weekend one of our Youth members, Calvin Cahoon passed away in a car accident.
Calvin was such a sweet, funny and lovable kid. He always had us laughing and kept us entertained.
He will be greatly missed and we are asking for you to keep his family in your prayers. Pray for his family as they continue to navigate the next steps during this week.

A gathering for friends and family will be held this evening at FUMC Elon, 1630 Westbrook Ave, Elon NC at 6:00pm. Please join us as we gather in remembrance of Calvin.

Sincerely,
Erik and Nohelia Kennedy
