Psalm27:1
The Lord is my light and my salvation—
so why should I be afraid?
The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger,
so why should I tremble?
Fear of making the wrong decision is a real issue in the lives of many in the world today, perhaps that explains why it takes me so long to order? Others are fear of rejection, failure, success. and of course stubbing your toe in the dark! For those of us with faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, He is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path - yep.. we'll take a pass on the stubbed toes thanks. If we fail, should we see it as our personal defeat? No, Edison found 10000 ways a lightbulb won't work, consider who the Lord chose to lead His church, Peter said away from me Lord, I am a sinful man! The Lord repeats the challenge: overcome. fear not failure, fear not success, fear not the wrong decision but trust me for the right one. We have no need to tremble, God is for us who can stand against? Jesus says - come, follow me.
Whether we climb to the mountain top moments of victory or endure the deep valley moments of struggle peace overwhelms both - in Christ. David knew where all his trust was, whenever he encountered fear or anxiety he knew who stood with him. King of kings and Lord of lords. Life always comes with the unexpected, that which would have us yield to despair. Jesus is infinitely greater than any enemy that stands against us .. we live in an appreciation of who the King of kings is who stands with us. The authority He has. Anything and anyone else can't compare, not worthy of the angst. Instead let us delight ourselves in the joy of the Lord!

James 1:5
James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.
I have no idea. We have all said it more than enough times to count. I've said from working on a car, computer, cooking, chords, or best care for a loved one. It's inevitable we will all need wisdom greater than our own. God's wisdom is better than any person, or website you'll discover on the internet. He is omniscient. He has all the knowledge to do all that is needed in any circumstance. He's omnipotent, all-powerful and omnipresent - all present, to accomplish all that is needed in any situation. This verse reminds me of when Jesus said "if you then being evil know how to give good gifts to your children, then how much more will your heavenly Father which is in heaven give good gifts to those who ask Him? Our heavenly Father is not one who is distant, rather one who is there. Right there. In the present. Ive asked and received countless times, sometimes from God, and sometimes from the one He sends. When we are uncertain, all we need to do is ask of He who knew our need before creation fell - and He will give generously. After all, you are His child and He loves you.

Psalm 103:11
11 For his unfailing love toward those who fear him
is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth.
12 He has removed our sins as far from us
as the east is from the west.

The respect of things goes without saying. One doesn't dive into the deep end of a pool without being able to swim, One doesn't mess with electrical outlets except to plug in what should be there, unless they have training and knowledge otherwise. Finally vehicles, one never operates one until trained properly and at that... remembers it can be a deadly instrument - even to themselves, Of course we speak of respecting what we are dealing with - water, electricity, vehicles. The complacency trap has been dubbed to name that which we are so familiar with, we no longer see the danger. We should always appreciate these things and their respective dangers.Spiritually speaking we speak of complacency with God. Complacency with God doesn't appreciate who He is. He is the author of all things. He holds the universe in the palm of His hand, and spoke the fires of our burning sun into existence. We should always choose to live in a way that honors HIm. When we were young our parents did our best to provide and raise us right. It holds true to honor them, no one is perfect but honor the best of them. Same with God, see what it means to fear God. God doesn't want us a quivering mass of terror, but His children who listen. His children who listen receive His unmeasurable unfailing love. It's as great as the heavens are above the earth, in the picture you see.. over my driveway. How can we not appreciate the complexities of God as we gaze at the heavens? Like Van Gogh said, " the sight of stars makes me dream". For you I pray it does too, for if God is with you, what is truly possible? After all.. as far as the east is from the west has He taken our sins from us.

Colossians 3:23 Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.

A well known folk proverb is "do your best and let God take care of the rest". Fairly self explanatory, give it your all and do worry but trust God for the rest of it. Just ask the farmer in the field, the road construction worker, the manufacturing worker, the policeman, the teacher, the restaurant staff, the janitors, the nurses, the convenience store food prep people - and behind the counter guys, we could go all day naming jobs of the laborers behind the scenes working no matter the weather, no matter how they feel, who show up to give it their best, just trust God for the rest. As we work, that is the attitude we should have. As if it was for the Lord Himself. We say we have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, that faith is to be reflected in all we say, think, and do. But like Paul also said, not that I've already attained all this but one thing i do: forgetting what is behind i pursue the goal to win the prize i've been called heavenward in Christ Jesus(Phil. 3:14). My version: nope, i've haven't made it, i'm not perfect like anybody else. But let me tell you what i do, i forget what's behind so i can focus on what Jesus has called me to, eternity with Him in heaven, a life spent discovering the riches of HIs truth, glory, and power available in my life. So yes, I believe in Jesus, and I'm gonna try and do my best for Him, cause that... is who I work for - Jesus the author and reason behind all our labors.--

Psalms 15:1-5 NLT
1] Who may worship in your sanctuary, Lord? Who may enter your presence on your holy hill?
A fun memory of mine is going with my family to independence pass, Colorado. It took some time driving up the top and dad had fun along the way. But the higher you went the more speechless you became. You also regretted not doing as your told and bringing a coat. It was cold, during summer we saw snow up top with a view that again - speechless.
Entering into God's presence during worship is just like that. We enter with our baggage, our minds a thousand directions. But we pray, we sing, lift our hands and hearts. Soon our sole focus, our sole desire is drawing near to the King of kings. As we enter in we are once again reminded of His majesty. The awesome magnitude of His love, grace, and mercy. . You spend time with someone, you get to know them. His holiness, righteousness, purity, Just, gracious, true. When we enter in, we do so knowing the character of a holy God. The same Holy God who loved us enough to send His only begotten to die in our stead, who we kneel before laying down our sins and promises to heal us of them as new. We're speechless

1 Peter 1:20
God chose him as your ransom long before the world began, but now in these last days he has been revealed for your sake.
Stories are told of answered prayer: expensive car repair bills paid, Medical needs met, perhaps most of all guidance when there is no way.
Our Heavenly Father saw all our needs long before we ever were. Hey saw very one of the mountains we will face, He saw the greatest mountain and the greatest divide.. our sin. Jesus took on our sin, and at the garden the plan was Made. All the promises God has for us and wants to fulfill in us - are above and beyond all we could ask or imagine.

Psalm 40:1
“I waited patiently for the Lord to help me, and he turned to me and heard my cry.”
‭‭Fond memories are a treasure, especially when they inspire your current action.
Many times either our dads or mentors were there for us in a clutch - a critical moment. It’s only my delight now to try and be there for our kids, or those akin to.
Chief of all is our Heavenly Father, could we ever count how many times we cried out because the were more bills than money, the unexpected crisis of cars breaking down, worst yet the health kind. 2 favorite words: but God. But God helped with the bills, paid for the repair, sped healing to the need. Yes sometimes He says no- My grace is made perfect in weakness, then let us like the apostle boast in our weaknesses.

Psalm 126:2

Psalm 126:2 Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, “The LORD has done great things for them.”
Many times in life we come across our "crisis" moments. Such times usually find us on our knees pleading to God for help. From financial crisis, physical crisis, and perhaps most of all spiritual ones. This verse speaks as the Isrealites were being restored to the promised land, there home after exile. Then, Our mouths were filled with laughter. Whatever you find yourself facing, recall that if God is for us what could stand against us. It won't be long- your mouths will be filled with laugher, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, "The Lord has done great things for them".
