Sometimes disruptions are God’s direction.

The Men of Bethel showed up for their Saturday morning bible study only to find Elmore had a power outage. They could have packed up and gone home. Instead? They chose connection. They grabbed a couple tables, hauled their chairs outside, and opened their bibles in the fresh air.

Paul didn’t let a shipwreck or house arrest keep him from gathering with other believers and sharing the gospel. Why should power outage stop us? True fellowship isn’t dependent on comfortable circumstances. It’s anchored in Christ.

Way to lead by example, guys!

Paul survived Rome because he didn’t fight alone. When the hardships got heavy, other believers stepped in to help carry the weight.

Isolation is a trap.
Community is a calling.

Reach out to someone today and tell them you’re in their corner.

Paul was under house arrest for two years, and yet he welcomed his visitors and proclaimed the gospel with boldness. He didn’t wait for freedom to be faithful.

The lesson?

Don’t wait for the “right time” to serve God. Start where you are today.

As we wind down our week and prepare for the next, be sure to do two things:

1️⃣ Name your detour. Identify one area where life isn't going according to your plan. Stop trying to force an explanation and pray: "Lord, how do you want me to live while I'm here?"

2️⃣ Pick up sticks! Find one practical, quiet need right in front of you this weekend and meet it without waiting to be asked.

God accomplishes extraordinary work through people who are willing to do ordinary things.

Forget main character energy. Faithfulness sometimes fades out of the spotlight and looks a lot like picking up sticks! 😉

Challenge: Read Acts 28:1-10 and determine where you can serve today.

Have you ever found yourself on a road you didn't choose? A sudden detour where life feels completely off track?

There is a powerful truth in Acts 28: The detour changes our route, but it does not cancel God's purpose.

God isn't absent in your detour. He is present, working in and through you with every step. Instead of asking, “Why am I here?", ask “Lord, how do you want me to live while I’m here?"

Give us a 🙌 if you’re choosing to reword your question to God and allowing him to show you how to walk through your trial with grace and trust.
