🎒 Backpack Blessings – Week 3: I Can Use My Hands to Help! 💛

This week in Anvil Kids, our children learned about Tabitha (Acts 9:36–43) and how she used her hands to make clothes and help others.

Our Big Truth:
🤲 I can use my hands to help others and show kindness!

Our little ones are learning that we don't have to be big or grown-up to make a difference. God can use our hands, our words, and our hearts to show kindness to the people around us.

💬 Try asking your child:

• What are some ways you can use your hands to help someone?
• Who could you help this week?
• How do you think someone feels when we help them?

🏡 Family Challenge

Look for one opportunity this week to use your hands to help someone—pick up toys without being asked, help set the table, make something for someone, or lend a helping hand to a family member.

Then remind your child: “God gave you those hands, and you can use them to help others!”

🙏 Pray together:
“Dear God, thank You for giving me hands that I can use to help others. Help me notice when someone needs help and show kindness to them. Thank You for letting me be Your helper. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

Parents, thank you for partnering with us as we help our little ones learn that they can show God’s love in simple ways every day. ❤️

🙏 Praying Over Our Students, Teachers & Families📚

As a new school year begins tomorrow, we want to take a moment to pray over the children, parents, teachers, administrators, staff, and families.

Whether your children are heading into a classroom or learning at home, we are praying for you!

We pray for wisdom for parents and teachers, patience and strength for those guiding our children, courage for students, protection over our schools and homes, and peace for every family as they begin a new year.

May God go before our children wherever they learn. May He surround them with people who encourage, guide, and love them well. And may He give parents and teachers wisdom as they help shape the hearts and minds of the next generation.

🎒 Backpack Blessings – Week 2: I Can Say Yes to God!

This week in Anvil Kids, our children learned about Queen Vashti (Esther 1) and how she made a brave choice to say “no” to something wrong.

💛 Our Big Truth:
I can say “no” to wrong and “yes” to God!

This is such a simple lesson for little ones, but it gives parents a great opportunity to talk about making good choices throughout the week. Kids will face little moments every day when they have to decide whether to do what is right—even when someone else is telling them to do something different.

💬 Try asking your child:

• Can you think of something that is wrong that we should say “no” to?
• What are some ways we can say “yes” to God?
• What can you do if someone asks you to do something you know is wrong?

🏡 Family Challenge

Look for opportunities this week to celebrate your child when they make a good choice. Remind them:

“You can always choose what is right, even when it isn't the easiest choice. God will help you!”

🙏 Pray together:
“Dear God, thank You for loving me. Thank You for helping me make good choices. Help me say yes to You and no to wrong things. In Jesus' name, Amen.”

Parents, thank you for helping us teach our little ones that following God isn't just something we do at church—it’s something we practice in our everyday choices. ❤️

🎒 Backpack Blessings – Week 1: God Helps Me Be Brave! 💛

Today in Anvil Kids, our children learned about Deborah (Judges 4) and discovered that God can use ordinary people to do His extraordinary work.

Our Big Truth:
🦁 God helps me be brave!

As summer winds down and a new school year begins, there will be lots of new experiences—new teachers, new classrooms, new friends, and maybe even a few nervous moments. What a perfect reminder that God is always with us and helps us be brave!

This week's family challenge:
💬 At bedtime or around the dinner table, ask your child:
• What is something that makes you feel brave?
• Is there anything you're nervous about this week?
• How can we remember that God is with us?

📖 Memory Thought:
"God helps me be brave!"

🙏 Pray together:
"God, thank You for always being with us. Help us be brave when we are scared and help us trust You every day. Amen."

Parents, thank you for letting us partner with you in teaching your little ones about Jesus. We can't wait to see what God does in their hearts this school year! ❤️
