In the radiant glow of Christmas,
let's pause to reflect on the timeless parable Jesus shared—the shepherd leaving the 99 to rescue the one lost sheep.
This powerful story carries a profound message: Jesus doesn't come for the perfect ones; He comes to save the one, the lost, the broken.
Too often we place value on outward appearances and perceived perfection, the heart of the Christmas message is a radical departure from such standards.
Jesus, the Good Shepherd, seeks out the individual who feels lost, forgotten, or imperfect.
His love is not reserved for the majority; it is intensely personal, reaching out to the one who needs it most.
As we gather around festive tables this Christmas, let's remember that Jesus welcomed the poor, reminding us that true wealth lies in compassion and generosity.
He dined with the sick, those seen as unclean, prostitutes, adulterers, tax collectors, those who were oppressed, and people of all races/ethnicities shattering societal expectations, and revealing a love that sees beyond professions and reputations.
Jesus was not a respecter of persons and as followers of Christ we should seek to be like Him. (Not being "holier than thou", casting judgment, and showing favoritism).
The heart of God is not for us to live our lives in a contest to win the title of "world's best Christian".
We are all equal in God's love and forgiveness for us.
🌲 For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. - Romans 3:23 🌲
If you don't attend church or haven't attended in a while Jesus' message of love, forgiveness, and a fresh start for is still there for you!
God wants you to find comfort in the embrace of His love for you and for others and to experience the joy of a personal connection with God, no matter where you are.
Whether we feel like the one lost sheep or we are among the 99.
Let's extend COMPASSION, UNDERSTANDING, and a HELPING HAND to those who may be struggling or feel left behind.
As we exchange gifts and share joy with others, let's emulate the love of Jesus by being a beacon of hope for the one who needs it most.
May the spirit of Christmas be a reminder that we are all valuable in the eyes of our Savior.
Wishing you a Christmas filled with the profound joy of being found and the grace to reach out to the one in need!
