An incredible day at The Salvation Army Oakbrook Terrace! They welcomed 50 guests for their second annual Open House. The Salvation Army Oakbrook Terrace serves more than 28,000 of our neighbors in need each year through food, housing, utility, and youth program assistance. Sharing about their mission of helping others!

Thank you Lindsey Mitchell for the invitation! So many resources available for the community.

What happens when someone who has lived through abuse, rejection, fear, poverty, shame — and single motherhood — tells the truth about what God can do with a life fully surrendered to Him?

At our SHE luncheon, Jennifer Maggio shared her story —it was honest, challenging, funny, heartbreaking, and deeply hopeful.

In this conversation, she talks about:
• surviving childhood trauma and becoming a young single mom
• finding faith in the middle of instability and struggle
• learning forgiveness and letting go of shame
• building a ministry that has now served more than 1 million single mothers
• why real transformation is more than just “going through the motions” spiritually

A reminder to us all that broken stories are not the end of the story.
