Our De Colores Spanish Camp came to a joyful close with our De Colores Celebration Sunday! It was a beautiful morning filled with singing, laughter, and a wonderful celebration of everything we learned throughout the week.

Our campers not only practiced Spanish but also discovered the importance of conserving and protecting our water, caring for God’s creation, and serving others with kindness and compassion. We are so proud of all they accomplished!

After the worship service, everyone enjoyed an ice cream social a sweet ending to an amazing week of learning, friendship, and fun.

A heartfelt thank you to all of our volunteers, families, and campers who made this week so special. ¡De Colores!

All week long, our De Colores Children's Spanish Camp and Service Squad have been learning Spanish, discovering the importance of protecting God's gift of water, and finding joyful ways to serve others.

Now it's time to celebrate! We invite you to join us this Sunday, August 2, at 10:00 a.m. for our De Colores Celebration Worship Service, followed by a delicious Ice Cream Social.

Our campers and their families will be our special guests, and we are excited that Meg McGarry, our Director of Music, will lead the children as they share the songs they have learned throughout the week.

Your presence will make a meaningful difference. As we welcome many first-time guests and families, we hope they will experience the warm hospitality and loving spirit of First Congregational. We can't wait to celebrate with you!

As we reach the midpoint of our De Colores Spanish Camp for elementary-aged children and our Service Squad Project for middle school students, we are celebrating an incredible week of learning, serving, and growing together!

This week, our campers have been learning about water conservation and the importance of clean water. Through our Global Outreach program, they have been “traveling” to Latin America and the Caribbean to discover the water challenges many communities face every day. With engaging interactive videos and the outstanding teaching of our dual-language educators, our campers have gained a deeper understanding of why caring for God’s creation and serving others matters.

Meanwhile, our Service Squad spent the day serving at the NEW home of the Community Clothing Center, now located at Elmhurst Presbyterian Church (367 Spring Road). What an amazing day of hard work, teamwork, and living out our faith through service!

Our De Colores Children's Spanish Camp kicks off on Monday, July 27, and we are excited to welcome children for a week filled with faith, fun, friendship, music, service, and the Spanish language! Throughout the week, campers will discover God's love while learning about water conservation and keeping water clean.

We invite our entire church family to join us for our De Colores Celebration Worship Service and Ice Cream Social on Sunday, August 2, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
