rvice and continuing growth, including: learning, fellowship, and service to God in the community and beyond. Reflecting the demographics of Elmhurst and surrounding communities, the congregation spans members of all ages and stages in life. Long standing members offering spiritual maturity and direction work side-by-side with a growing number of young families, youth and new-comers to church. Many are from diverse faith backgrounds spanning Catholic, Methodist, Lutheran, Nazarene and other heritages. Among other reasons, many people who attend YPC say they were attracted by the genuine sense of caring and fellowship starting with their first visits.

Last week YPC hosted 50+ children to learn about God's love, grow in fellowship, and sing/play games/eat snacks/make art. Vacation Bible School is always a wonderful and crazy time, and everyone got a kick out of conquering the "Snowball Mountain Challenge" during the hottest week! Shout out to Pastor Kathy for being our fearless leader, and the multitude of volunteers who share their time and talents to make church a community for all people... especially the youngest disciples :)

This past Sunday on Pentecost we celebrated 30 years (and counting!) of Debbie Suits working at YPC, we welcomed 5 new members (shout out to Sam, Anthony, Tammy, Sue, and Rich), AND there was a baptism! Such a full and wonderful Sunday!
