Mark 6:31: "Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, 'Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.'"
Life moves fast. Between work, family, and daily responsibilities, our minds and bodies often feel stretched thin. Even Jesus and His disciples experienced times when the demands of the crowd were overwhelming. Notice that Jesus did not tell them to push through exhaustion. Instead, He invited them to step away into a quiet place. Rest is not a sign of weakness or a waste of time; it is a gift from a wise Creator who knows our limits. Today, let this verse remind you that it is okay to pause, catch your breath, and let God restore your strength.
Father God, thank You for Your gentle wisdom that calls us away from the noise of the world to rest. Forgive us when we rush through our days relying only on our own strength, forgetting that we are human. Help us to quiet our racing thoughts today. Grant us the grace to step back, recharge our spirits, and trust that You are holding everything together even when we stop working. In Jesus' name, Amen.
