Now more than ever, we have to focus on the positive things of Christianity. In a world where everyone seems to want something different, and have their own way, how do we know what is right? What difference does it make anyway?

This Sunday, I want to share a message on the motivation for morality. Life is a little easier to bear when we remind each other about the truths from Scripture. I think you will be encouraged. Speaking of the word of God and each other...Sunday School is a great time to ask questions and give Kenny a difficult time as we share with one another.

I hope to see you this Sunday!

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow for Father's Day Sunday! Our message will focus on the two men in Genesis who "walked with God," and is entitled, "Character Building Exercises."

I will have a few military illustrations and a few key points that will motivate and challenge each of us.

Hope to see you!

We have at least six of our regulars out this week--traveling. Pray for safety and refreshing experiences for all! Yes, we are still having Sunday School and church. Please be there if possible.

You've heard the saying: "Like father, like son." In some cases that is so true. Only the grace of God can change a person for the better. We are going to look at the life of Isaac and see four temptations he faced, that we all face.

I'm putting a special children emphasis on this one. Hope to see you there!

Do you remember when....? Fill in your response to that open question. I remember when my parents took all five children camping 1-2 times a year. We often joined our cousins (5 of them too!) at the lake. Good memories.

We are grateful for the soldiers who gave their lives for our freedom!!! This Memorial Day weekend I also want to remember the faithful servants mentioned in Scripture. One unnamed servant of Abraham had a most difficult task: travel 500 miles and find a wife for Isaac! We will also discover how not to find a spouse.

The message is entitled: Remembering the Faithful

Hope to see you Sunday for Sunday School (10:00) and worship (11:00).

What are the biggest sacrifices you have ever made? What life-changing losses have you endured? Did it impact your relationship with God?

This Sunday we will examine Abraham's greatest test and how he passed with amazing faith! Although life in general can be trying, God's tests only come once in a while. The really neat thing is that God prepares us and doesn't send them until we are ready.

I hope to see you tomorrow!

Love to all,

Bro. Dave

I'm so excited to see everyone at Sunday School and Church tomorrow! You will hear the story of how I got wounded at the Loftin's. But even better than that, we will discover some great spiritual truths from the life of Abraham.

Consider this: How do Abraham's tent and altar summarize the life of all Christians?
What changes happen in a believer's life when he/she runs to the world for answers instead of turning to God (as illustrated by Abraham's trip to Egypt)? How is Abraham's return to Bethel a beautiful picture of repentance?

We all need this message. I hope to see you Sunday!

God bless all,

Bro. Dave

When God decides to send judgment, the world had better watch out! In the midst of all the warnings and the dire circumstances which follow, it is beautiful to see the love and grace of God at work.

Join us this Sunday as we examine the world during the days of Noah.

Saying no to temptation, the results of the Fall, and God's grace right in the middle of it all. What more could you ask for? I hope to see you this Sunday for Sunday School (10:00 a.m.) and church (11:00 a.m.)!

Hi Everyone!

Does God expect us to believe in Him without any evidence? In other words, are we to have a blind faith no matter the facts? God wants us to have an informed faith. Because He and Jesus are the Truth, real facts about creation do not threaten them at all.

We will continue our theme of God the Creator and also look at the creation of mankind. A special illustration demonstrating the odds of random acts of creation "just happening."

I hope to see you in Sunday School and church.

We will have an Easter egg hunt following the worship service. Rumor has it that there will be a few "prize" eggs. Thank you to Addie for hosting this.

Also, don't forget the stage debut of Katie and Harper in a cute Easter skit!

The sermon will be Part Two: The Value of the Resurrection. It is based on a moving outline by William Barclay. I've added my own stuff and you don't want to miss it!

Hope to see you this Sunday!

It is not always easy for a child to grasp the value of money: 10 pennies to equal a dime, 10 dimes = one dollar; 4 quarters = one dollar, etc. Especially when a dollar doesn't buy much in today's world.

But still, it is important to teach every child the value of essential things. Let me ask you, "What is the value of the resurrection of Christ?"

It is priceless isn't it? These next two Sundays I am going to talk about "the Value of the Resurrection."

I hope to see you in Sunday School and Church!

Hi Everyone!

Don't forget to set your clocks forward one hour tonight!

The face of Moses actually glowed because he was in the Lord's presence. It made me think that Christians don't just reflect the glory of God, but the beauty of the Lord comes from the Holy Spirit within, as we grow in Christ.

Anyway, I will give 5 characteristics of the radiant Christian.

Hope to see you in Sunday School and church.
