Praised be Jesus Christ! Today is our wonderful Dr Johnson's final conference in our Chapel! He said he may be back here, but is first exploring more venues at St Clare of Assisi Parish next door. (Check out his "Healing Circles" ministry there.)
Also he said Liguori Press is administering all his books & personality testing tools. A Redemptorist from India is working closely with Dr J on all the Liguori Press works. Yes, things are going more & more global for Dr Johnson! He is excited in his golden years & looks forward to helping us in our needs & in our vocation department!

The Passionist Nuns thank you so much Dr Johnson & we know the Missionary Sisters of St Peter Claver do so as well! We are praying for you--- for good health & peace. Amen 🕊

Blessed Dominic - pray for us. ✝️

Today, we celebrate the Feast of Blessed Dominic Barberi, CP, a Passionist whose life was marked by perseverance, trust and a deep willingness to follow God’s call.

Dominic’s remarkable journey of faith—and the many years he spent preparing and waiting for the mission God had placed on his heart—reminds us that “waiting is not necessarily wasted time.”

On Blessed Dominic’s Feast, may his example encourage us to trust God’s timing and remain faithful to wherever God may be calling us.

Blessed Dominic Barberi, pray for us! 🙏

Passionists do not exult suffering. We just always turn to Jesus on the Cross and ask Him to make our sufferings make sense.

It is so beautiful that the Feast of the Assumption of Our Lady into Heaven falls on a Saturday this year! Saturday is the day of the week devoted to Her --so let us honor her in the most special way today ❤️

Praised be Jesus Christ! Now & forever! We were blest to be one of the pilgrim stops for venerating some newly recognized Knights of Columbus martyr saints. Knight Mr. Ryan Lister gave a heartfelt presentation on the 6 martyr-saints. They were all Priests of Jesus Christ. One of them - Padre José Hurtado, it was recorded, knew the man who was assigned to put the noose around his neck. Fr Jose took the noose from his friend & said "Friend, do not dirty yourself." Fr Jose slipped the noose over his own head. They led him to the gallows where he died for Christ. This was 100 years ago in Mexico where there was a severe persecution of Catholics which extended to 1992 when Mexico's constitution was reformed.
On this Friday when we are already plumbing the depths of Jesus' sufferings, we feel very blessed to have come to know of these valiant Martyr Priests! Thank you Knights of Columbus, Ryan Lister & Fr. Joe A Weber for a graced morning! "Six Martyr Knights and Priests of Jesus Christ, pray for us."

A blessed Feast of Saint Mary Magdalen! To quote a portion of our vocation brochure that had today's beloved Saint in mind when writing it: "We look up at Jesus [on the Cross] in so much distress and we sorrow, but with a knowing joy in our heart that this is not the end. It is actually the beginning of the victory of the Cross. O Blessed Tree! O Holy Cross! Jesus is Alive!"
