20 YEARS OF EFYC
What began in 2004 as Ellisville First Assembly Youth Conference started with a simple vision: reach young people and give them a place to encounter God.
The conference paused in 2005 after Hurricane Katrina and again in 2006 while Ellisville First Assembly constructed its new sanctuary. By 2007, conference was back, with ministers through those early years including Bro. Greg Adkins, Bro. Scott Morris, Bro. Andy Stringfellow, and Bro. Kenny Morris.
In the early 2010s, attendance grew tremendously, at times reaching nearly 600 people on Friday night. But whether the room was packed or the crowd was small, the most important part never changed...the Lord continued to move!
In 2017, Bro. Jeremiah Yocom began leading praise and worship for the conference. After another pause in 2020 for the pandemic, conference returned in 2021 with one Friday night service that many still remember today.
In 2022, Bro. Roger Luke joined the preaching lineup, and that year also gave us the unforgettable “One Small Step” message preached by Bro. Scott Morris.
And now, in 2026, we’re celebrating our 20th conference year with Bro. Roger Luke, Bro. John Humbert, Bro. Scott Morris, Bro. Jeremiah Yocom, and the addition of EFYC Connect.
There are 20 conference years worth of stories that we could never fit into one post. And that’s where you come in!
